New Roll Call
Hi all!
They say it takes 21 days to form a new habit. I am going to try adding something new each week. Anyone want to join me? This week I am going to work on getting all my water in. I have been really bad about this and with this hot weather, that is especially not a good thing.
I will try to post under this message how I am doing thoughout the week when I can.
If you don't have a new habit you want to list, just jump in and say hi!
Elizabeth
Hi Elizabeth....
I have a habit that I shouldn't have to be forming NOW, being 6 months post op. I am almost ashamed to say this....but here goes.....
TAKING MY VITAMINS/SUPPLEMENTS.......I am horrible horrible horrible about getting them in every day!!! I was never good pre-op taking my meds......
So, now that I have 'outed' myself, maybe you guys can keep me on task?!?!?!
Another habit I have been working on is posting more.
Hugs

Morning Elizabeth
Am so happy you are posting again Like Shelia I'm horrible about taking my daily meds & vitamins. I always seem to get side-tracked even though they sit in front of my face!
Keeping the water handy at all times BUT my downfall is walking & riding the bike need to get back to that. I'm driving a friend to Rochester today & have water ready to go, maybe a few more pit stops than usual but she's use to me taking p breaks.
Talk to you later.
OH YA something else....Janet was telling me the other day if you take Calcium Citrate you should take that at night & your vitamins in the morning, something they counter-act each other. Just a little thought here to pass on.
Hugs
Carolyn
I have always heard about that takes 21 days to start a habit thing....I am such a loser tho and have never stuck with anything for 21 days Hopefully this will help.......Mine is a BIGGIE....I eat way to many JUNKIE CARBS.....that is going to be my first thing......of course I need to work on the exercise too.....but I will start with getting rid of the JUNK in my diet!!! I agree with Carolyn......it is so nice to see you posting again We all missed ya I am making up time for a weekend away from the puter.....so I have yet to be able to read and answer your other challenge thing......But I am all up for this one for sure.......I wanted to start a "what have you eaten today" one also to hold us accoutnable but I have never had a day I am not ashamed to post my menu Oh well.....Have a great day....Take Care Jesi
I also need to stop the junkie carbs. Believe it or not I can eat chocolate, and I crave it non-stop. Especially around that time of the month. I buy a bag of chocolate stars or kisses stick them in the freezer and then have 5 at night to help me unwind from my day. I also have a glass of the no sugar added chocolate milk. It seems to be the only thing to help me sleep at night. BAD BAD BAD me I know, so I am trying to break this. I have virtually given up all hope of ever losing another pound until I can kick start myself again. Hope everyone else is having better luck than I.
Well my husband is such a sweetheart!!! He quit smoking yesterday. Yeah Derek!!!! i really didn't think he could do it and he says that he has learned that he smokes when he's bored. So now I have to quit!!! I was supposed to quit with Kim and Derek yesterday but have not found the will power.
So for my 21 days, which I'm already 3 into, I'm going to the gym for cardio everyday for 30 mins a day. I think that if I notice I'm out of breath I'll quit much easier. I went Sat, Sun and yesterday and feel much better. I go after work now and it's such a get stress reliever!!!
I'm eating better...getting my protein in, taking my vitamins. I just need to see that scale move and my mood has got to improve. I'm really battling depression right now. I'm stuck at 195. So here's to my 21 days of working out and hopefully quitting smoking.
Thanks Elizabeth!!!! Hugs!!!
