To good to be true!

Well, my wonderful step-mom made sure that I had scales today. I got on them and about crapped my draws.. Down 17 pounds since friday! I couldn't believe it. Tonight I feel so awesome. My pain is subsiding with the help of two pains pills. I went to my hubbys ball games tonight and enjoyed every min of it. I can't believe how well I feel! This is so awesome. The only regret I have is that I didn't do it three years ago! I did lay in the hospital bed saturday night and think.. "oh Lord what have I Done." If anyone doesn't do that the first few days I don't think they are normal. The pain is uck.. but I'm feeling awesome. I don't eat as much as I should and had my first "I ate to much" episode, live and learn, trial and err. But I am getting in all my water n liquid protein drinks. Thanks for all your prayers guys I really do need them still and appreciate them! Tracie S.. 341/324/180 my goal.. How awesome is it that I get to post that now!! WOO HOOO

AWESOME!!!!! Keep up the great work I can't believe you are out and about already.....good for you I am a wimp I guess....that is why I am so scared of plastic I just don't do well with pain! Remember...the pounds will fly off....but around week three it is gonna suddenly stop for a few days....your body just had major surgery and is gonna put on the brakes for a few to catch up......it is totally normal....but since you are using scales (which I do also ) just keep that in mind so you don't freak out when it stops for a few!! That is so wonderful Tracie Glad to hear that you are able to get out and have fun this soon. I'm hoping I won't be a total wimp about the pain. I've been preparing my hubby just in case. I should be hearing from Covenant soon about a date. We are going to have to stay in Cedar Falls or Waterloo for the week since we live over an hour away. Any suggestions from anyone on a cheap place? Leslie

The best deal you can get is to go online through Hotwire and get a motel that way. I just booked a 3 star through them to St. Louis for $50.00 a night. It's the only way to get your best deal!!! Good luck! Lezlie

Thanks Lezlie! (my name was supposed to be pronounced like yours is spelled but the kids were mean in grade school so I started pronouncing it with the S sound instead.) I've booked hotels that way but I'm hoping to find something even cheaper. One can dream...... Leslie

Really? I've never had problems with my name and nicknames! I love this spelling better though...Lezlee!!! Anyway back to the hotels! I think since it is in a smaller town that you would get a better deal. You could also call their Chamber of Commerce or hospital public relations and maybe people rent out rooms in their homes like a bed & breakfast for less???? Just ideas...let us know what you find!!!!! Lezlie
