My 15 year old son passed out last Wed pm, and was taken to our ER. They ran tests and thought maybe he had a seizure. We were allowed to go home and follow up with his Dr. Thursday afternoon I got a call and they said something was found on his chest x-ray. We came back Monday AM for a Ct Scan w/ dye. They found a large mass that they believe may be a Thymoma (tumor of Thymus gland) We are headed to Iowa City tomorrow morning early, to see a Pediatric Onocologist, and I am scared to death. My son has Autism, and doesn't really know what's going on, which may be a blessing in itself. He is verbal, and social, but functions on a level of a younger child. Please remember him in your prayers, Thank you all. DeeAnn R

Oh my goodness!!! I will be thinking of you and your son tomorrow. What causes this mass? Is it cancerous? Oh please take care - my thoughts are with you. Big hugs, Jen

DeeAnn, Oh my - I can't imagine what you are going through. You know that I teach children with special needs, so they have a special place in my heart. I firmly believe that our special population are a gift from God - so we can see life in a new light - that of love and innocence. I hope that this experience isn't that traumatic for your son and that he continues to enjoy health. My prayers are with you both today! God bless, Andrea
