I leave tomorrow for a 3 day national handbell festival in Springfield MO. I am so excited! My wrist is healed mostly. The ortho said I can do anything I want except fall on it again, like I want to experience that one more time. NOT! I'll be seeing someone whom I haven't seen for a number of years. I think she will be a little surprised. I am also waiting for my letter from the endocrinologist I saw at Mayo 2 weeks ago. I have a bone loss and PTH problem. She's trying to sort out which came first - the elevated PTH or if the bone loss is from WLS and causing the elevated PTH. I personally think it's a little of both. So anyone who hasn't had a bone density, GO DO IT! It's a common side effect but not one I was ever told about. You all have a great weekend! The weather looks to be just about perfect! I have never heard of a Handbell festival.......learn something new everyday!!! Hey I was gonna ask you how your summer get together went ......I know it was gonna happen in June sometime! I will be in DesMoines August 15-17th we are going to the Iowa State Fair and staying at Adventureland Hotel......I am a big country music gal, well all kinds of music really......but one of my fave new bands is playing at the state fair.....Big & Rich....I am excited to see them My girls are too! Sorry to hear about the bone loss.....as I was told tho....it takes awhile to happen so you were probably already losing bone.....it was a side effect/complication we were warned about and that is why I take my calcium so seriously......I have had two pet scans or whatever they are called and I actually gained bone density with my second one That why it is so important to make sure we are taking the RIGHT calcium supplements too!!! Now that I had the hysterectomy in Oct.....they said my chances of osteo and stuff are super high so I will have to be super careful forever with taking my calcium!!! I wish you the best with the festival and the other stuff.....Hope to see you on the boards more! Take Care Jesi
