Morning all Ok I know Celebrex is out of the question, more ways than one! Who takes what meds for fibro? My arms are killing me I can barely lift them & at night I almost & have screamed they have hurt so bad. I'm going to make a dr's appt for this the pain has gotten so bad BUT I need to know what meds you gals are taking so I can suggest to dr what I might try. Anyone else having this problem? The headaches have started again also which I haven't had in awhile. Do the meds you are taking help the headaches? Help please! Thanks Hugs Carolyn

Actually, if it's still on the market, Celebrex is not out of the question. I was taking it for the pain in my knee & my surgeon Ok'd it if I also took Prilosec so it didn't bother the stomach. The orthopedic surgeon felt that Celebrex was safe, despite the news stories. But then again, you've had heart problems so maybe not. Good luck, Carolyn. I hope you find something. It's no fun being in pain. Dixie

Hydrocodone! Do you take anything at bedtime? I know if I miss, I feel lousy in the morning. I take 100mg Trazadone and 20 mg of flexeril. I usually sleep like a baby and don't wake up all stiff and decrepid. I've found that My bedtime med**** me in about 10 mins where before, it took about 2 hours.

Carolyn, I think I've suggested this before....but I am still taking the Lortab when I have fibro pain. It is a mix of hydrocodone and tylenol. And best part is that for one, it comes in a generic so it is cheap, and two, it is liquid. Even at six months out, I still can't take pills without puking. jean

Hi Carolyn. I have fibro as well....I went off my meds a few years ago when my ex and i split up. (I lost all of the stress in my life at that point!) It has come back over the last couple of years. I went to the dr and asked him to give me a script for flexril. He said he didnt think I needed it. He told me to take Tylenol PM at night because it does the same thing. That is what I take now. I dont take it every night. But I can tell when I need to start taking it again. I have found that I have to take it right around dinner time so I am sleepy enough to go to bed. I take tylenol durning the day if I need it. I have to admit that I am lucky though...I dont have it very bad...It only flares up when I get stressed or sometimes during "that time of the month". I have also found that going to the chiro for my headaches takes care of that. Billie Jo
