Has anyone heard from Syb

Just wondering how Syb Need is doing? She had her surgery at the Mayo Clinic last Thursday. Nancy

Here I is! Doing great - sticking to my pureed diet and getting my meds down - am getting my liquids in - at least the 48 ounces that I am suppose to now. Had some bad hours the second day necessitating an extra day in the hospital. The doctor did find cancer when he went in so removed the lymph nodes that were right there and sent them off to the lab. I will see a hematologist next week - changed my mind that I didn't want to wait until I went for my follow up visit to see one. Hope all is well with every one here. Sorry for not updating sooner. I am please with everything.

Congratulations on your surgery and I'm glad that everything went well with that aspect of it...I hope the Dr got all the cancer in time, let us know how things go with that! Nancy

Unfortunately it is cancer of my lymph nodes so they can't get it all, but they believe that with treatment they can put it into remission. It is a non-hodgkins form of cancer so not immediately life threatening unless they have found out since the surgery that it is a higher grade or progressed further than initially thought. I see a hematologist at Mayo tomorrow and will know more then. Thank you for asking about me yesterday.
