Hi Sherry! Thanks for the info. My Dad's surgeon friend referred me to him. Of course, I reminded my Dad that California is on the Left Coast and Iowa is waaaay over there. Do you know where Dr. Aly is now practicing? Robyn

I believe he's still in Iowa City, but in his own group. You can do a search on the internet -- I'm pretty sure he's there. Janie

I am also considering going to see him also. Here is his website: http://www.icplasticsurgery.com/index.html and his phone is 319-337-3740. Let me know what your impression is if you see him. Everything that I have read about him is excellent. Barb

Robyn, He is supposed to be one of the best in the business for LBLs. People come from all over the nation and also internationally. He & his partner have a Q&A column at our local newspaper's website & this is what it says about them- "Iowa City Plastic Surgery is the source of expert advice across a wide field of plastic surgery procedures. Dr. Cram was chief of the Section of Plastic Surgery at the University of Iowa from 1987 to June of 2004 and Dr. Aly was an Associate Professor in the section from 1995 to September 2004. Dr. Cram has served as President of the Midwest Association of Plastic Surgeons and the Iowa Society of Plastic Surgeons and Dr. Aly is the current Vice President of the Iowa Society. Both have been chosen as Top Docs in the field of plastic surgery. Both surgeons are Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and both are members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Cram and Aly have written numerous articles for Plastic Surgery Journals and text books. Dr. Aly is the Editor of the Electronic Plastic Surgery Text. Both have taught courses in plastic surgery procedures at the annual meeting of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. They have been featured on Discovery Health Channel performing plastic surgery procedures, and Dr. Aly is a frequent speaker at a number of Plastic Surgery meetings throughout the United States. Areas of expertise cover the gamut of facial, breast, and general body contour cosmetic procedures and would include breast augmentation, breast lifts, face lifts, brow and eyelid surgery, nasal surgery, as well as liposuction for body contouring. Breast reconstruction is another area interest and expertise for the surgical team. Dr. Aly and Cram are best known nationally for their development of special procedures for the massive weight loss patient. Belt lipectomy and upper body, arm, and thigh revisions following massive weight loss have been provided for patients from both coasts of the United States and for patients from as far as Australia and Ireland." If you'd like to read their answers to the questions you can find it at http://www.wcfcourier.com/expert/?xid=1 Oh, they are now in Coralville, which is right next to Iowa City. Dixie
