Stuck and not losing

I'm 15 months out and have not lost any weight for the past 6 months. I started at 270, am at 175 and my goal is 130. I can't seem to get past this point, any suggestions??? This is typical?? I'm also wondering if I have the TT if that would bring me closer to my goal, what amount is typically lost? Thanks for all your input!

Well Barb I am pre-op still, but congrats on your weight loss!! That is an awesome loss! As for suggestions on getting you unstuck all I can offer is what i have learned here. Are you exercising? Drinking enough? How about your protein intake? How many grams are you getting? Are you eating enough? You may visit the nutritionist where you had your surg. and see if they can be of any help. Do you keep a food log? That may help. I am still in the approval stage at Dr. Glas****s office. Have been at this since January. I feel like I am really close to approval, it seems like it is right there but we just can not get a few wrinkles ironed out! Let me know how things go!!! shelli

I found that the TT helped but not a whole lot because I was so inactive for around 6 weeks that I actually put on a couple pounds. I went back to work at 2 weeks but my doctor doesn't want you to do anything physical that you don't have to, even walking for exercise. The fat & skin actually don't weigh as much as you think it will. In my case it was 6 lb and I had a very large tummy. I started out at 342# & had the TT at around 190. However, I have heard of gals who had around 10 lbs removed & even one who "claimed" that she had over 50lbs removed. I find that very hard to believe as I saw her before pictures.
