It's been awhile
First things first, Hi Dixie, Elizabeth, Cheri, ah heck, hi to all *****member me here and for those that never heard of me, a big hello to all of you as well. Things are still not to good for me, still, this new pain medicine is really kicking my backside, big time. Still not losing any more weight, I just can't figure it out, I am never hungry, I do eat just because I know I have to, I honestly believe I could go forever never eating again. And no, I am not even close to getting in my water, for some reason i think the more I try to drink, the more I vomit it back up, I have alot of trouble with pasta, chicken, and I like chicken, fish, hamburger, well, pretty much all of it really. I do have a question though? When I vomit like just minutes after i eat, the only thing that comes up is phlem, where is that food I just ate? I have still only lost 70 lbs. since surgery and I am now a year out, excercise is so hard to do BUT I got a treadmill, manual one, and an easy shaper, which I just got yesterday, and did as much as I could on the treadmill, the easy shaper I think is going to be awesome but, oh my gosh, I hurt so bad right now all I can do is cry threw the pain, BUT, I refuse to give up, I will never quit trying only thing is, I try to go overboard and pay for it with the horrible pain. I refused to go in the wheelchair today because of the pain and my daughter was quite upset with me about it, but, I used the walls to walk along, I hate that damn chair, I'm to young for that so I just keep trying, so, am I doing everything the wrong way? Thanks all for all you do everyday for everyone, especially me, I don't post much but I read everyday. In case I have never said it or just forgot, Thanks for just being in my life. Take care of you!~~~ Tina~~~~

Easier said than done but try not to do to much. Also the meds play a big part on weight loss to. What about cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt etc? And you've probably heard it before about chewing just make sure you chew, chew chew. Most days I don't get in enough water either. How about peppermint tea? That still settles this ole tummy down when needed. Love the herbal teas & flavored water. Hang in there girl, we are here for you.
Hugs
Carolyn

Tina,
I wish I could wave a magic wand & make it all better because you deserve it. I am so sorry you are having so much trouble.
Hon, have you called the office with your food problems? In my opinion, you are too far out for this to be normal. Maybe you have a stricture that is causing you to vomit, I don't know. I do know that when I used to vomit, I would get the foam but the food would come up eventually also. I think the foamy part is caused by irritation. Others, please correct me if I'm wrong. In my experience, I would get the foam if I swallowed the food too soon, not chewing it enough & the piece was too big or if I ate too fast. The opening from the pouch to the intestines that Dr. G made just couldn't handle it. Now, if you do have a stricture, maybe no matter how good you chew, it may be irratating that part of pouch. Please call them. If they think that is the problem, it's a very simple procedure to stretch that opening out again. If a stricture is what is causing the eating problem. it will only get worse.
Another suggestion is to call & ask to meet with the dietician for some advice. I believe that they don't charge you for that & even if you weren't having trouble, it's not a bad idea to check in with her for some suggestions & new ideas. I did that last winter & it did help me.
Yes, you are too young to be stuck with a wheel chair & I'm so sorry your pain requires it but please, don't do anything to make it worse for you. You're going to be around for many more years. I know that you probably hate seeing the professionals but it might be a good idea to meet with someone to help you find a way to exercise that won't hurt you physically. Try calling Timmi Brown at the Covenant Wellness Center in Waterloo. She can tell you more who would be able to help you. She is one of the trainers who works with the WLS patients & is great but it may be that you will need to talk to someone in physical therapy to address your limitations.
I just read this over & can you tell that I am one who expects to find a solution when I have a problem & will consult with professional for help? Some of the problems I had before myWLS have returned & I am now trying to find out why. They are no where near as serious as your problems are though.
You mentioned your daughter. Whenever I think of you, I remember Brandi. How is she doing? I think it's great that you two are doing this together. I just hope she is having an easier time of it and is able to help you with the problems you are having
Take care & I'm praying that your problems will go away.
Dixie
