It seems like a lot of us are stuck and sick of it......as we get farther out, it is easier to slip and eat the stuff we know we shouldn't!!! I said I would start posting "what did you eat today" But I wasn't eating the best and was embarrassed The question for me was more like what DIDNT you eat today!!! I agree with Lyn: sometimes it seems if it isn't nailed down, I eat it!!! I am actually walking every AM too, so it just ****** me off that I blow it at night......I have done so well during the day.....then the evening comes and BAMMO....I lose all self control.....I think I need and evening walk too!! I stocked up on sugar free popsicles at hyvee and got rid of the popcorn....(ate it all ) So hopefully I will do better now.....Plus this is the last two weeks of school and it seems I have to bring some sort of treat everyday.....hard not to eat cookie dough and rice krispie treats and brownies!!! But last night was also the last night I had to make snacks.....so no more excuses!!! Does anyone have any great weekend/hoilday plans?? We were supposed to go to my folks (again) but now my mom is sick....nothing major but she has bronchitis and has to work so we are staying home to let her rest! So that means we have to stay home and clean the garage and basements.....seems like a good thing to do, and make a run to the dump and goodwill!!! Monday we are invited to a BBQ, other than that just staying home and trying to eat well and still exercise!! I hope everyone is doing well......ANdrea I will call you, and I want to hear how Dixie and Janie are doing with South Beach? Take Care Jesi If you are traveling everyone drive safe!!

Jesi: I'm in the same boat !!! I'm 13 months out, and 10 lbs from goal. I would love to get busy and get these last lbs off, but can't seem to quit eating the wrong stuff !!! I do exercise regularly, but snack entirely too much!! The worst part is, nothing really makes me dump !! I sometimes get a little nauseous, or a little diarrhea from too much fat, but very little in the way of side effects !!! I wish I would get major dumping, I'd probably think twice before eating sweets!! I do good during the day, at work, because I can only eat what I bring along, no grazing then! At night when I get home is when I start rummaging through the cupboards and frig. I had a plastic surgery consult last month. he said if I were to lose the 10 lbs after a TT, it would affect the results, so I really need to get busy!! My paperwork has been submitted, I'm waiting to hear about whether or not it's approved. maybe if I get approved, that will motivate me!! I'm not counting on it, my insurance denied me twice, before they approved my WLS !! Good luck, maybe we can all get each other motivated !!! DeeAnn R

Hi Jesi, From what I hear from Janie, she is doing a much better job with SB than I but she can tell you much better than me. I am having an awful time giving up fruit and during the first 2 weeks they are eliminated. I LOVE fruit! I can give up the bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, etc easily but fruit? NO! I find that sticking with it on the weekend was much easier than during the week. Perhaps it's because I have a trigger to eat as soon as I get in the car & I drive 20 minutes each way to work & home. I am taking along water so maybe that will help and take a different route home from work so I am not tempted to stop at Kwik Star. At 12:30 AM there aren't too many places that I can stop. I see the plastic surgeon on Wednesday for my 3 month follow-up & to discuss my nasty thighs. For my own satisfaction, I'd like to be down to 177 by then & if I can stick with SB, I should do it. We'll see. So far today, I haven't eaten anything not allowed. Dixie

Okay -- checking in..... Actually this is getting me back on track, but I'm missing all the things I thought I could get away with (like chocolate and treats). I've been keeping track of all my food on fitday and am averaging between 1100 and 1300 calories daily. I'm also doing about 130 oz of water/CL every day. Last week I worked out 6 days and this week so far 4 days doing mostly cardio for an hour (treadmill, elliptical and biking). I've been trying to mix up what I do every day. That all said -- I've lost 10 lbs and then promptly got PMS and gained back a pound yesterday and a pound today for no apparent reason!! I've been pretty strict about sticking to the Phase I rules (with the exception of my birthday -- a sliver of choc cake). I'm really missing apples and yogurt but when I switch to Phase II I can have them again. I'm going to stay as strict as I can for a while yet. Last Monday I was 171 and today I'm weighing 163. I REALLLYYY want to see what the scale looks like under 160 as that was my lowest weight in this journey (back in February). I started at 272 and even though I feel successful now (basically wearing 12's on bottom and L/XL (I have "big girls") it's a numbers game for me and I would like to see how I look at 145. The docs all have told me I have about 10 lbs of skin (have a consult with p/s in a couple weeks), but unless I find a money tree doubt that will be happening. I'm really going for a breast reduction... Anyway, my advice would be that I think SB works. Basically it is what our eating plan should be anyway. I'm thinking that this will always be a struggle for me. I'd kill for some chocolate right now, but so far my willpower is staying pretty good. I can feel a difference in my pants especially. You asked -- there it is.... Hope everyone has a good weekend!! We have races on Sat and Mon nites and a birthday dinner on Sunday (that will be a hard one)!!! Janie

Hello I have a different problem, I'm never hungry. When I do eat, I feel sick. I know I need to do better. I have been making myself eat a maid rite from Taylor's Maidrites. One a day. But I am really not hungry. So far, I've only been eating maybe once or twice a day. But I can remember, before surgery (before 12-22-03), I could eat all day, and never be full. I would eat anything and everything in the house. Maybe it's because my depression, but who knows. Better close Take Care Love Lisa Young PS, Dad got a new burner for his grill, so he wants to grill steaks on the grill.

Let's see, what didn't I eat? We went up to my mom's Friday afternoon. When we got there, we went out to eat at Maid-Rite. I ate half a sandwich, too many onion rings, and too many fries. Saturday wasn't any better. Went to a flea market and got mini-donuts. I just love those things. The three of us shared them and the dog got a couple so I probably only actually ate 4 whole ones. About 3 too many. We went out for supper, Mexican, and I had 3 slices of a chicken Quasadilla. Then we get into the Wal-Mart chocolate caramel cups, and the chips. Paid for it this morning with diahrrea. We're home now and I am going to eat better. Starting first thing tomorrow. UGH.
