Need Insurance Appeal help!

Hello everyone! I am new to this website, and I am very pleased with it. A coworker who has had wls and is doing wonderful, told me about how much this site has helped and is helping her. So I decided to try it for myself. I recieved denial letters yesterday from both of my insurance companies. I know that I need to file an appeal, but I need to know what it needs to be effective. My friend even thought that there might be a form letter available or something. Can someone please help me?

If you go to the main board...there will be a lot of folks who can email some appeal help....there are a lot of pro's on the main board!! Your friend is right....this site is great!!! A little slow at times.....especially the weekends.....but all in all pretty good!!! I always thought the insurance people at your surgeons office would help with the appeals....you need to find out exactly why the denied you and go from there.....a lot of folks are denied and turn it around....wishing you the best Take Care Jesi

Hi like Jesi said find out their reasons for denieing you and take it from their!Write your own (story) about yourself ie:your dieting experiances,all the ones you have been, on any supervised diets ,your losses and gains and most of all hang in there K I had 3 denial's before i took it to court and the judge agreed with me and reversed their decision!!!I am now just waiting on a date!! Thankyou so much for answering me. When I got those denial letters on Thursday I was devastated. But on Friday, my friend told me about this site and I posted that message. Then I went to the main page and found a sample appeal letter. I printed it out to get some ideas from it, and over the weekend, I started writing my own letter. So I feel alot better now. But most importantly, from visiting this site, I learned that alot of people get denied the first time, and that was a major comfort! But thanks again for your help. God bless you! Reatha
