Did anyone else have a major change in thier vision after losing weight from WLS? I have been getting headaches often, and I am wondering if after 160 pounds, I need to be rechecked?

Hey Kyle......I just wanted to give you another thing to think about! Tho I do hear it is common for eyesight to change after a major weightloss....some thing totally different happened to me! I was having major headaches.....I used to get migraines...so I went back to my neurologist....and got some pills....they didn't work......next step, eye check-up.....my eyesight had actually improved we figured it out that I was drinking A LOT of aspertame through all the sugar free drinks and I was getting headaches from the aspertame. You might want to take a look at what your drinking, and maybe try eliminating the aspertame stuff and see if you do better!.......Who knows!! But worth a shot!!! Take Care Jesi Headaches SUCK so I do hope you feel better

Hi Kyle, Don't know if there are proven results that weightloss causes eyesight to change but I have gone for my regular bi-yearly appointment since having the surgery & my eyesight had improved. Not a whole lot but enough that my perscription needed changing. I never made the connection, however, as my perscription seems to need changing every time I go anymore. I attributed it to my job in front of a computer. Dixie

Hi Kyle, I noticed my eyesight went to the dogs after my 80#. It was going but it seems to pick up momentum after I lost the weight. I can still get by with only reading glasses and I really should go and get mine checked again too. Peggy in Ames, IA
