Home from surgery and doing well!
Well all your well-wishes did the trick! The surgery went "picture perfect" (doctor's words, not mine) and I was able to leave the hospital on Wed. instead of Thurs. Water, jello and broth are staying down well although the water is hard to get in. I don't know if it's because the pouch is small or what, but it feels weird. I have 2 drains that are just disgusting and have to give myself a blood thinner shot every day and Im still pretty sore, so all this is not a walk in the park, but I think I am doing well and I know eventually I will heal and be better and be truly on the losing side with all of you.
WOW, I can't believe I did this! HA!
What courage it takes. I applaude you all for your committment and bravery.
Thanks again for your support. It truly helped.

Welcome home and Congrats
Sounds like you are doing wonderful! It is weird to find stuff you like to drink....but it is key!!! Above anything else the first month or so it is so important to get your fluids! I love water ice cold....the gal across the hall who had the same surgery day as me could only drink it room temp....just find what works for you!!! Walmart has great brands of sugar free juice...it is by the koolaid and comes in the tubes like crystal light....It is wylers and walmart brand....try those!!! Keep up the great work and keep us updated
And I agree with everyone else...once the drains are out you should feel 100% better! Take Care
Jesi
