went to the plastic surgeon

I was crusin around town yesterday doing errnads when my cell phone rang......it was the plastic surgeons office with an unexpected opening they were trying to fill.......I was more than happy to take the appt My appt was origanly scheduled for May3rd. Well I went in and talked and did the naked photos. She thinks I am a great candidate.....and she thinks I shouldn't have a problem with insurance either....they have 3 rules or whatever and I meet all of them But she also says that I should do more than the pannilectomy......I have skin (damaged skin) issues and they are pretty high up.......If I get the muscle repair with the upper and lower incision she thinks I will feel a lot better about myself. And if I simply go with the excess skin removal, I will still be pretty odd shaped because of the upper skin/rolls????? She wants me to research and decide which to do. Insurance will only cover the basic so the rest I will have to pay......the pictures she showed me make it look SSSSOOOO worth it tho! Not sure what to do!!! For all of you that have already had the tummy done what would you reccomend? ALso she does it in our local hospital with a one-two day hospital stay.....I was way excited to hear about that....I was so afraid of being sent home same day! Jesi, Definately get the muscles repaired. You won't regret it. Here I am 54, had 3 kids, & I have a flat tummy I don't have to suck in! My TT has made such a difference to the way I look but more importantly, to the way I feel about my body. I have a hard time explaining it because I never really cared how I looked before. Now I do! Yesterday I woke up smiling from ear to ear with my hand on my tummy. Even in sleep I am constantly thrilled. You also want the loose skin above your belly button pulled down. That roll that hangs over your waistband will be gone. I believe that the skin that was just above my belly button is now in the pubic area! Now, I have to admit something that I probably shouldn't but yesterday I discovered another benefit of the TT that I bet you can easily understand. I discovered that being "on top" is really cool now. I quit doing that a long time ago because it was just plain disgusting to see. Not anymore! It's fun & my husband was THRILLED!!!!!!! (we need a BLUSH emoticon!) Dixie

You hit the nail on the head! I think I've mentioned before thet he has always compared me to cows. Most would be insulted but, from him it's perfectly normal and his way of complimenting me. For a long time I was a dry cow, as I lost weight I became a heifer (a definate improvement), then just a calf. Now my udder resembles a dry heifer's, small & attractive but sagging because they are empty. He says I have "good center support" & am very "dairy." Al is a very good dairyman & doesn't keep cows who don't earn their keep. Fortunately, even though I have been dry for 28 years, he's keeping me around anyway. He's not the only one who can make the dairy comparision. When my boys were born, back when they didn't let the husbands in the delivery room, I had the nurse tell him he had a bull calf. However, I didn't find it at all funny when he suggested that next time I "freshened" (had a baby), we could just put clean bedding in the maternity pen & call the vet! Husbands! Dixie

I will be NO help at all about this. I'm sorry! But I did want to ask a question: How much do you pay out of pocket for ps? I mean, I asked about a breast lift and they said around $6k. Do y'all just pay that in one lump sum or do they take payments? How does that work? I'm only down 37 pounds but know that in a year or so I'm going to be thinking about this hard. BUT my husband wants another baby...a boy. Yeah, like I have control of that!!! So can you have a baby after plastic surgery or should I just wait for about 2 years, have a baby and then start thinking about ps? And what's a pannilectomy? Thanks and good luck to ya girl!!
