I am convinced that the world is coming to an end! Why, do you ask? 1. My MIL told me I looked good! Of course, she also said it was time to stop losing weight. 2. I ate Jello & liked it. After all that jello just before & after surgery I didn't think I'd ever enjoy it again. 3. A man flirted with me today! Oh, it was good natured & innocent & my husband was 3 feet away but do you know how long it's been? It impressed my MIL also. Boy was she shocked. Oh, & I flirted right back too. I don't know what I'd have done though if he had been serious. Run, maybe? Dixie

Oh, one more! 4. I bought a size 11 summer sweater today & it fits perfectly! It is so cute & tiny! To be honest, it probably would look more appropriate on a 15 year old instead of 54 but I fell in love on sight. I also tried on a pair of capri pants to go with it but, I refuse to have my rear end hanging out over the top of the pants. I don't see how anyone can wear them so low! Dixie

Morning Dixie are we sisters? Have heard from my dad also that he thinks I've lost enough weight! BUZZZZZZ wrong answer! Doesn't it feel wonderful when people give you attention like flirting instead of whispering behind their hands or pointing at you being the fat person? I haven't tried jello again, been a year but it doesn't sound bad. I'm still eating my cottage cheese & yogurt faithfully, love that stuff! Size 11???? Congrats to you Shopping for clothes is no longer a "job" but something fun to do. Know what you mean this 50 yr old na-na loves shopping for clothes & they are for younger girls, but what the hey wasn't able to wear them at that age so going to enjoy them now! Yes, I believe we must be sisters. I haven't gotten into 12 jeans yet. Fourteens ar still kind of tight but I can wear 12s in dress pants. I finally found a style that doesn't bind & fits nicely over my tummy. I have lost so much on top, almost no boobs at all & that's why I can wear the smaller tops. Fortunately, I like small breasts. Now my dairy farmer husband, who seems to have a fixation on "udders," is not so thrilled. Keep up the good work yourself, Carolyn. Hugs back at you, Sis, Dixie

Great news! You have got to proud of yourself! ......on vacation my MIL kept telling me I was a hot chick and something one doesn't want to hear from a MIL!!! I am so not sure what to do with the flirting...at first it kinda ****** me off, like they are screwing with me by flirting....then I remember I have lost a lot of weight and they might actually mean it, and then I am even more lost I am a very happily married woman, but the new attention is weird to say the least! I too feel that my choice in clothes is often to young (tho my mother feels I dress like an old lady) but I also agree they make things WAY to short these days.....I don't like ANYTHING hangin or bulgin...Yucky! Whoohoo, you sexy momma, you!!! Just wait till the hubby decides he's gonna have to treat his woman RIGHT because other men wanna jump in on the "action" now!! (I still don't see what my hubby says is "flirting" from others, unless it is VERY obvious.) You enjoy flirting back and watching the attention hubby starts to poor out on you. Isn't it about time that MIL realizes you look good? Sure, she had to get in the last word, but you got a compliment and that's what counts. About the jello - yep - like it too. I just want to assure you all that I am happily married & would NEVER consider messing around. It doesn't hurt for my husband to realize that ocassionally other men may find me attractive but he has nothing to worry about. He has stuck with me through thick & thin (huh, that has a totally different meaning to me now!) and for over 34 years. We're in it for life! Dixie
