OT....I Need Help!

Hello Iowa'ns .........im from Texas and had RYN last Jan......doing great!!! Ok...we have Quaker Oats and Ashton Kutcher here in Cedar Rapids oh also, Grant Wood, the artist, was born in this area and buried in Anamosa, Iowa. Mostly we have lots of corn and cows here. Seems like you could just type "Iowa" into the Internet and get enough information to write a book. Good luck..... but I suggest you let your kid do his own homework. OH- we are just fixin' (I used to live in Texas before moving back to my home-state) to have tons of fun up here in Iowa.... Basically we are a farming state. Try typing in Iowa State University or Ames Iowa and you will find the USDA animal science labs. We are the nations leading pork producers with the National Pork Board here in Des Moines. The World Pork Expo is held here every year. (Can't help it- my Dad is a pig farmer) Besides that we are the only state boardered by two major rivers and we also have LaMars, Iowa the self-proclaimed Ice cream capital of the World. Morning Missy, I'm only a few miles (25) from the worlds Ice Cream Capital of the World, LeMars, Iowa I'm sure they have a site for you to look at, the name of the company is Wells Blue Bunny. They own most of the town of LeMars & have a huge employment basis as well as land owners & manufacturing. John Wayne was also born in Iowa.....Oh something else my town is proud of, President Herbert Hoover lived here with relatives at an early age, the house still stands today.
