Here we go with roll call 4/18!

I have never been a sun worshipper, probably because I hate to sweat. Sweat on my skin stings! However, since my weight loss I rarely sweat, even when working out & I drink lots of water so it's not that I'm dehydrated. For some reason, I do not tan much, and rarely do I burn. I mow each week, usually during the hours you shouldn't & by the end of summer you can see a faint line where my watch sits on my wrist. I just stay white. I attribute it to my 1/4 Danish heritage. However, unlike my friends that tan religiously & use tanning beds, I have few wrinkles on my face. My friends' skin look like leather & wrinkle like it too. I prefer few wrinkles to tan skin anyday. That's just me. If others like to sunbathe, more power to them. Just don't complain to me about wrinkles. Oh, and since the TT, the doctor discourages sunning that area or recommends the use of a strong sun block. My goals are - Stay away from snacking or limit them to healthy alternative**** the pool at least 3 days (had to cut back from 5 as it was bothering my tummy muscles too much), work out an hour before my class on Tuesday & Thursday, try not to kill myself bedding calves (no, Janie, NOT bedding AL!), & get more sleep. I made it a goal to lose 25 lbs before talking to the PS about fixing my thighs. I have lost 7 with 18 to go. Dixie

Okay, Dixie, I get it - tanning causes wrinkles. Thanks for that bummer thought. It certainly sounds like you have some good goals for the week. Hope that you have done well on those. I have been doing decently and haven't lost food control too much this week - still working on getting in more fruits and veggies, though, when I feel the need to snack. Hey, about the thighs, I pulled up the "hanging belly appendage-like thingy" last night to see what it would be like with a tt and my goodness, my whole perspective of my thighs changed! I thought that the problem was mostly with the inner thighs, but with that new perspective, I notice that it just looks saggy on top and on the inside of the thighs - oh my gosh - so much for short shorts!! I still say that the only part of me that won't need surgery now is my feet!!! Now, be careful bedding that hubby of yours - oops - I mean those calves - and try not to wear yourself out!! God bless, Andrea

I do sound a bit preachy, don't I? Sorry. Everyone has told me that I look so much younger now, and I think we have all heard that. WE DO! Recently, right after getting a hair cut & looking pretty good, if I do say so myself, my MIL informed me that I now look old. GRRRRRRRR...... My son thought there would be fireworks but I disappointed him. I just let her know that she was the only person who felt that way. That shut her up really quickly. I do have a lot of grey hair but as of Wednesday, it can't be seen as I got "glitzed." Now I look like a ditzy (my Dad's nickname for me) blonde (without wrinkles!) Dixie

I tan very easy....its the italian and gypsy dane in me i guess. I try to stay out of the sun as much as possible. I am 37 and have hardly a wrinkle to my face...I cant say that for some of my friends and girls I went to high school with. I do like to have a little color on the summer for that "healthy glow"....but that can be achieved with make up goals for the week... see the nutritionist drink lots and lots of water keep my mind off of snacks and walk!
