Had some puddin' today...!
Thank you so much Carolyn! You're such an inspiration! Were you erally tired in your second week? I feel more tired this week than I was last. I just want to sleep! It's kind of annoying because I know I should go outside and take walks but every time I try, I end up curling up on the couch reading a novel. Any suggestions?
thanks!
Hugs,
jen
When is your big day again? I thin****ep confusing a couple of people's dates and I hate that!!! It's just hard when you don't have a pic up because I can't remember names really well!!! You keep me posted on your journey and keep your chin up. It only hurts for the first week or so after surgery. I just have to beat this constant sleepiness!!!
Hugs,
jen
You got pudding! I think I hate you.
I've been dying to eat something not fruity too. I'm glad you're doing so well! I just quit the pain meds too...what a relief to be able to drive again. I tried a quick errand to buy new tennis shoes and was just exhausted. I need to take it easy. I just gave some of my too big clothes to my sister...hooray! She revealed to me that she is very afraid of the changes my weight loss will bring in my relationship..worried I will do all these new things without her. I assured her we would still be best buds, and I don't know what else to tell her. I am going to try lots of new things, I'm sure. I guess I'm unsure too. Any advice?
Thanks!
Colleen

Ha! It was really good! I just can't wait for the eggs and taters! Even cottage cheese sounds good to me right now. With a little bit of pepper....yum!
I haven't drove yet. I'm really scared to! I have read 3 books though. I've been really tired lately too. Like today I slept till 1pm! I don't think I've slept like that for 5 years! I didn't go to bed until about 2:30 though. I slept hard too. My husband thinks I'm overdoing it. My belly is really tender too.
Has your sis considered doing the surgery? It could be a journey that you do together. You are going to want to do new things and you'll be excited about buying clothes. I'm so excited to go swimsuit shopping next spring!!!!
Just make sure she knows that you're not going to do things without her - period. You're sisters and sounds like best friends. You're just trying to live healthier. She should be very proud of you for that!! It's a huge accomplishment.
Hey when are you going back to work? I'm thinking I'm going to hold off until April 27th. That way I won't have to endure a full week of work...I'm just so tired...any suggestions?
I'm hungry too...well not hungry but damn I want some food!!!
Hugs,

I remember being really tired the 2nd week too. About then I switched to Tylenol during the day if I needed something and still was taking some Roxicet at night to help me sleep better without waking up!
I had my surgery on Wed, got home on Fri and then took off the following week from work. My first week back I ended up taking off early on Friday and went home and slept all day. I think part of it is because of the anestesia (sp). Otherwise considering you've been on liquids for 4 weeks exhausts your body. My first soft meal after 2 weeks consisted of 1/2 a scrambled egg with a little cheese. It was sooooo good.
Keep your chins up girlies -- it gets even better! And you'll be amazed at how big your eyes are compared to your new little pouchies. (Try using a small salad plate when you eat -- it helps)

It's crazy - I was just going through all of my messages today and I read your's about your time after surgery and what you ate. then I went up to take a nap and come back down here and it was like deja vu!
I think that's what I'm going to have on Wed...scrambled eggs with a slice of cheese. It just sounds right. I used a baby spoon when I ate my pudding...my 2 year old was like...mommy's a baby? it was cute. i'm going to have pudding tonight again. I think I had gas pains in my lower left side late last night and I want to see if the pudding did it or if I was just having an icky night. I DO NOT want to give up milk or milk products!!! I love skim milk.
Hey when could you eat string cheese? I have smoked string cheese that is so good but I don't know if I'll be able to ever eat it! Thanks for all your help Janie...I really appreciate it!!!
Love,
Jen
