Mini Goal Met

Hi All, Good news! For the last two months I have been trying on my wedding ring and finally .....IT FITS. My husband has offered to resize it many times over the course of the last ten years and I would never allow it. I used the ring as incentive to always keep reminding me that I needed to loose the weight to wear it again. It was one of the minigoals that I set for myself and I am glad that I made it. I think it is these little things that keep reminding me that this IS working and I am succeeding where I failed so many times before. The best part is when I showed my husband the ring on my finger, it has been so long since he has seen me wear it. It was just one of those special moments when you just have to be there to appreciate it. So now......We will have to see how long I can wear it before it starts to slip off my finger from being too loose. I'll have to resize it anyway, LOL!! Take CAre All, Sherri

Congrats on your mini goal! In no time at all you will have to get it resized!! Fortunately my wedding ring is a size 8 and still fits and I've always heard people talking about their rings falling off etc. I've always wore a size 8-8.5 and wonder what it will be like to wear something smaller.. Congratulations, I can understand the feeling of getting the ring back on. I had to have mine cut off a couple years ago and at that time they couldn't resize it because it had been resized to many times. So I have to have it reset which I can't afford. I am hoping though they may be able to size it down to fit just not up. Once I am done loosing weight I am going to try again. Good luck to you and again way to go. Little goals can mean more anyhow than the big ones sometimes. . Or I think so anyway. Cindy

Morning Sherri, Congrats to you! It is so important to set mini as well as long term goals. Every hurdle is so important to all of us. Thanks for sharing. BTW my rings are to big but am waiting to goal to have them re-sized, love the feeling. Hugs Carolyn
