As I set my date for the surgery I keep hearing . . . . . NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS THIN FEELS echoing in my head. UGH! I don't know what 'thin' feels like. I had some success with WW about 20 years ago- but that was the last time I reached a weight I was even remotely happy with. How does thin feel??? I want to hear some heart-warming stories I am feeling very nervous now that the date is actaully on the calender. Thanks, Jennfier

Jennifer, I've lost 112 lbs, but still can't tell you what thin feels like. In my head I feel somewhat less than where I started, but not like the mirror tells me I am. Actually at 160 lbs I don't consider that thin, but when I looked at my size 12 jean shorts this weekend after folding them from the dryer I thought there was no way I could get my butt into them. But guess what? They fit. That's when I feel thin -- when I look at the size of the pants I'm stepping into!! Best of luck to you -- get ready for the ride of your life!!! Morning Jennifer, First of all congrats on your date. How to describe thin? Not sure! But I can describe feeling better! No more diabetic or blood pressure meds, fibro pain isn't nearly as severe (it's still there) & just feeling better mentally. I'm down 90 lbs now. When I go to the clothes section I still head out for the larger sizes, feel almost self conscience when I go into the smaller sizes like everyone is saying that fat woman will never find anything in this section to fit her! I'm wearing a size 14 now, almost to 12's & I love comparing them to the size 52 men's jeans I was wearing a year ago. Hugs Carolyn

I kinda echo Janie and Carolyn......I am down almost 140lbs and still I don't know how thin feels.....I think being MO for so long I just have a really warped self image.......I feel great 100% better, but there is always something...ya know! And for me....I think the biggest thing, is it is hard to feel thin...when I have to shove loads of skin into my pants and bra! Maybe if I get the excess skin off I will feel better! Another factor for me is the stupid BMI charts......according to them I am still overweight and have to lose quite a bit more to be "normal" I want so bad to be "normal" but it seems so unnatainable! I am 5'2 so the charts say I need to weigh in the 120 or teens and to me that is reasonable! I just need to grow a few inches But even tho I am not feeling like a godesss, I do feel great and I am forever greatful for having done this for myself!!! I think you will too.....and if you come out of it feeling "thin" Awesome!!! Take Care Jesi
