HI, I waited until tonight to post as I wanted to wait until my appointment with my PS. Guess what? He cleared me to go back to exercising so tomorrow it's back in the water. I bought a new swimming suit (size 12-14) to celebrate. Next Tuesday I will be wearing underwear for the first time in 5 weeks! No more compression garment for me, except while doing chores & working out for awhile. And the best news is that my tummy will get even flatter in the next few months. Right now it's a bit "poofy" as there is still a bit of fluid there that will have to be absorbed & also some swelling. It may take as long as 6 months to stop swelling but it's not bad. Definately not as bad as it used to be. I REALLY love my new tummy & Andrea, so will you. By the way, I read recently that if a woman wants to have more children they can still have a TT but they discourage getting the muscles repaired. The same article said that babies of TT patients are not smaller than normal. Obviously, he/she may stretch you out some but it won't be as bad as it is now. Probably more like after your first baby if you were "normal" sized. My goal for this week is to continue trying to stay away from snacking. I have done a pretty good job of limiting carbs this week and it has shown. I lost a few pounds, the ones I gained while being so sendetary. Last week I decided I needed to lose 25 lbs before I will allow myself to discuss my thighs with the plastic surgeon. It may take me all summer & fall to get there but I will do it. It will help that I can go back to exercising again & I plan to ask the trainer to suggest exercises that will target my legs. Last night I was sitting up in bed with my legs stretched out in front of me & I noticed that the skin & fat just puddle around the more muscular part of my legs. It was really gross! I want that gone even if it means having to go to a different PS as I don't know if mine does what I want him to do. Oh, I am almost 16 months out (same date as Andrea's) & have lost 160 lbs with 35 more to get to my surgeon's goal for me & 19 to my new goal of 165#. Dixie

Morning, Dixie, So glad that you chose to chime in. Can't believe that you can get in the water for exercise again already. It seems like just yesterday that you had your surgery - not to you, I'm sure, though. Now, gotta ask - are those undies going to be thongs? With that new flat tummy of yours, I bet you'll be running around in some sexy things! Thanks for the info on the tt and babies. It's interesting to know. By what I hear, this surgeon is very particular and I expect good things from him as well as good recommendations about what to do. Now, about being "normal" sized - NEVER! I was chunky even as a toddler - always been the fat one in the family!! The legs - what a nightmare! I can't stand mine now. I have always had firm, fat legs and now, they are thinner, but awfully jiggly! I hate it! I would love to have a thigh lift as well, but have heard it affects the private area greatly after surgery. We'll see what the surgeon recommends there as well. Listen to you with those goals - are you trying to be like 130? My goal - realistically is 175. I'm at 185.5 now. If I can get below that, I will feel successful. Well, gotta run. Have a great rest of the week. God bless, Andrea
