Hi everyone, I am getting sooooo antsy to have my surgery! I have completed all of my appt's, and now I'm waiting for a date. I talked to the CMA at the surgeon's office, and she said that some of my paperwork hasn't been rec'd yet (psych), so I called the Psych dept and they assured me that they would send it over in the a.m. The sleep study should be arriving to her anytime, which, I might add, I found out I had sleep apnea. So, at least they will know how to take care of me. My main concern is the insurance part...I'm on my hubby's insurance which EXCLUDED the WLS, but I also have Title IX as a secondary, which I know they cover it. My only problem is, I have a $1200 spend-down (deductilbe) to pay. I guess I would rather pay that than the whole bill, huh? I am getting antsy, but reality hasn't hit me that this is going to happen. Probably because I have been let down on many other things. IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN, IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN, IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN!!!

The wait sucks sometimes!! It can be a very LONG road, but in the end it is all worth it, and you will forget about how long everything took, because time will start flying by!!! I am now almost 16 months post op and can't believe it has been that long, seems crazy!!! Best of luck to ya Take Care Jesi

Morning Betty, Waiting is the hardest! Please let us know how things are coming for you. Will the surgeon let you make payments? Never hurts to check it out. Will keep you in my thoughts & prayers. Hugs Carolyn

Hi Carolyn, Thanks for the advice. I will check into that. I went to a support group for the first time today and it was quite interesting. I talked to some of the ladies there about the waiting game and what some of them went through to even get approved. Fortunately, I have all the copies of the denial letters from my husband's insurance, so I can give the nurse copies, and they can send them to my secondary right away! YAY!! I must keep my fingers crossed! Have a blessed evening! I will keep you all informed for sure!!! Betty
