Bad Day Then Turned Good

I had a bad day today then it went good.I went to my PCP today to have my blood tested for this new pill im on for my blood Pressure that the Cardio Dr took me off my old PB meds & put me on a new one,& to see if we could start a supervised weight loss program,The nurse took my BP it was 140/111 & then My Dr walked in I told him what I needed & he was pissed because the The Cardio Dr took me off of what he gave me & put me on a new one.He took me off the new one & put me back on the one he put me on.Then he asked why I went to the cardio Dr & I said remember im wanting to have WLS,He said to me Janelle I have no weight loss program you need to not be lazy,eatless and extersize.He was loud & rude! he doesnt belive in WLS I tried to explain again & he said it over again you need to not be lazy,eatless and extersize. I was intears by this time.He continued that my BP was to high & I thought its probly even higher now &yadda yadda yadda so,I got up & said thank you & left,I have only seen this Dr a few times & I was wanting to find a new Dr anyway.So I got back home & called my aunt And she suggested a female Dr to me so,I called her office & I meet with her monday.Well then WLS Drs nurse called me & I told her about it & that im going to another Dr on Monday she was happy,She told me she got my Psych Eval today, I said ok now what she said to do my supervised for 6 months to a year.I asked her why did Titke 19 denie me she said no I haven even sent it in yet,I WAS LIKE WHAT!!!! she wants me to try the supervised anyway Title 19 is funny sence its Iowa & im wanting the surgery in Nebraska,I told her ok,I got off the phone crying once again.I called a friend & told her she told me about her WLS surgeon who is even closer to where I live & hes in Iowa not Nebraska so maybe Iowa Title 19 would go for that. So I thought what they heck I could at least meet him.I called & talked to his nurse & I asked 1. do you accept Iowa Title 19 she said yes.Then I asked the guide lines she told me & then she asked me stuff,I can have all of my stuff I have had done faxed to them & she said I DONT NEED A SUPERVISED WEIGHT LOSS & I sould see him April 7th They will send in my paper work & I could have surgery im April or May.At this point im crying she said calm down & she would see me April 7th.I said thank you a bye.When I got off the phone I dropped to my knees bawling & thanking GOD & PRASING him...Just think I guess there is always hope... A lot of docs are STUCK in their ways.....I am glad you found a new doc....you shouldn't be made to feel like crap from your doctor! I hear also that it is tricky to use Iowa aid and get out of state surgery....I knew that from when I almost went to BTC! But there are A LOT of great surgeons in Iowa, if it makes it easier, go for it!! I had a two hour drive each way for my surgeon, and a little drive isn't bad!!! I am glad things are looking up....bad days SUCK.....I have a sneaky suspicion I am going to have a horrible day.....I have a headache that just won't quit Take Care and give us an update......April 7th is close!!! Morning Janelle, As I was reading your post all I could think of was find another dr! I'm happy you pursued finding another one. Title 19 never gave me any problems with going out of state, I was seeing a surgeon in Sioux Falls, but ended up having surgery in Ia. But things change in a year's time also.
