Thursday chatter....
Hi gang,
Just checking in. Had my check up with pulm doc today. I get to send the ol' Bi-pap machine back to the company!!
I told him I hadn't been wearing it because I won't/don't/can't leave it on all night and it wakes me up. I am feeling good without it. Lots of energy, bounce out of bed when the alarm rings (most of the time
) etc etc. Wants me to keep on the Advair, but he cut the dose in half. Then see him in 4 months.
I am down 50 lbs since surgery Jan 10th. Off b/p med, it is 110/62. Off diabetes med (have been since surgery) blood sugar staying around 100-110.
For any of you pre-ops that might be reading this, I know when you hear 'be patient, it is a long road', you think 'yeah right, it's never happen'. I used to think that to. It took me 18 months, from time of filling out paper wor****il surgery. Was the best 18 months though. I researched, I saw drs and had tests done that I never would have had done had I not been pursuing WLS.
Plus I found this wonderful website and all these marvelous people here.
hope everyone has a good weekend and a happy Easter
Sheila

Well congrats!!! I'll be there soon!!! I can't believe that it only took you about 2 months to be off your breathing machine. I have a CPAP and I hate wearing it but it does allow myself as well as my family to sleep much better at night!!! I just can't wait until I don't need it. I started this journey in October. I wasted a lot of time searching for the best doctor.
I can't wait to be off my BP meds too. I spend so much money a month for all these prescriptions and Prevacid is the worst. $50/month!!! That's with my insurance! Horrible.
Well congrats again and good job losing all the weight
Hugs,
jen
