put tummy tuck and gastric bypass pics on web page
Kim...
if you want, I can show you more pics then whats on the website, and you will see my thighs are the WORST part of me.. however, it is next to impossible to get them approved by insurance.
My doctor in grinnell did take pics of them however, and was prepared to send them in, however, being on title 19 til I finish school in May, they absolutely refuse to pay for it. It wouldnt matter if the skin was hanging down to my toes they said. WHAT?!! yeah, thats really nice huh.
It was 18 months out from the bypass when I had the tummy tuck and I am glad i waited that long, however I still wasnt ready! honestly! I told the doctor repeatedly I would rather do the thighs... that the thighs were much worse.. well, the day of surgery, he liftss up my gown to *mark me* with the pen.. and says "oh mY! those are bad!" um.. hello.. no I am an idiot. lol.
I get all the way thru it, and did have the pics done of the thighs to turn into the insurance company. I literally had the nurse in tears taking pictures of my thighs.. oh my goodness, she says.. how terrible it must be, and hard for you to find clothes?
Um, no, I have had these monster thighs my whole life! I wouldnt know any different!
anyhow... good luck with everything to you. yes, the belt lipectomy did help with the thighs, but not much... and the tush. my bumis big, lol.
Good luck, let us know how yours goes!

Thank you so much, Judi for sharing those pictures. You are an amazing woman for being so honest and upfront with your life after WLS, I know that all of us post-op girls truly appreciate it. Although I am only 5 months out, my thighs are where I carry the majority of my weight. I am not looking forward to the issues that come along with losing weight there and it is already starting. The hanging skin is so gross, gets in the way of changing sizes because my legs are so thick.
I am scared to see what will happen in time with the continued weight loss and I have no clue whether I will have issues with insurance paying. I guess I will have to find out in the future.
Thanks so much for sharing the pictures.
