weekend plans???

Good morning Iowa folks! It is cloudy and cold here in Dubuque! We don't have much planned this weekend....not really sure what we will do! We were going to go to a St. Pattys day parade but all of my little ones have a cold and I hate to take them out in the wind! Also we had a b-day party to go to this afternoon that was cancelled because the birthday girl had a temp of 103....I feel so bad for her, what a way to spend a b-day!!! My folks are coming over tonight for a sleepover and I have a roast in the crockpot for tacos.....other than that I am planless!! I actually don't know what I will do with myself, my schedule is always so busy, I am already bored trying to come up with things to do So thats it for me....it is 9am and I am bored out of my gourd!!!! Anyone doing anything fun this weekend? Is everyone ready for spring?? Unfotunately the weather man says it is goona stay COLD for a good week yet or more I want NICE weather!!! Well everyone take care....and hope to see some people on the boards this weekend!!! jesi

Hi Jesi, I'm here! I got up early & decided to get the pages that I made for my scrapbook printed so I can put it together. I do a lot of my scrapbooking digitally & that's what I did with the one I am making about my plastic surgery. I'll be posting it somewhere online for my scrapbooking buddies & probably will post the link here for anyone who wants to look. It's been a fun activity while I was stuck in the house recovering. Fun, except when my laptop kept crashing causing me to lose everything I hadn't saved. It didn't take too many times for me to learn to save constantly so I didn't lose so much. Dang computer. I thought I had that fixed a few weeks ago. I have no plans for the weekend either. I do think I will visit my neighbor & bring her birthday present to her only a couple weeks late. I was hoping she would come to see me but her husband doesn't allow her to come here. As far as he is concerned, we are evil incarnent! Actually, he thinks she will run off with my sons or jump them them when she visits me so that makes me bad also. He better change his tune soon. We are their landlords! That's why he has to let me visit her. He has no say in the matter! Other than the visit, I will be relaxing & getting strong enough to return to work on Tuesday. I decided yesterday it was time. The phone rang & I answered, "Computer room!" Yep, it's time. Sorry your little ones have colds. They sure are nasty this time of year. Try not to be get too bored. Dixie

Hello I went to my grandpa's to play some gin rummy. Yeah, I beat him good! I left here at 8:30 a.m. and about 5 minutes later it was snowing heavy. He only lives 5 blocks from me. I'm doing homework, and I'm trying to figure out what I want for lunch. I'm never hungry though. I am also trying to learn about protein and low carbohydrate. It's hard. I'm also cleaning again. Cleaning never ends, seems like. Again, not doing much. I'm also tired. I pulled a muscle in my side or by lower back, not sure where, and I hurt. Trying to stay away from pain pills and trying to live with this. Well, I better get something done before I fall asleep. Take Care Love Lisa Young

Morning Jesi, Worked Friday & Saturday, babysat all day Friday, worked at the bar that night, worked split shift at the bar Saturday day/evening. men's stag night so all the girls were at the bar! We had to make 400 sandwiches yesterday afternoon for stag!!! Seen enough ham/cheese & roast beef to last me a life time Going to look at a house this afternoon that is for sale. Damn furnace took a crap on me so going to have to get someone over here to look at it! Of all weekends, couldn't happen on a nice one. Hugs Carolyn
