high protien fruit drinks?

I am having surgery t UHIC on March 28th, the nutritionist gave me a small blue pamplet with sample meals and guidelines for after surgery, in it it suggests to drinking a high protein fruit drink. I dont remember her going over this with durring my last session wth her. Can anyone who had surgery at the University help out with this? and where to get it at?

Hi Nancy, I think we met back in November at your first consult as I had mine at same time. Congratulations on your date and best of luck with your surgery and your new journey. I was scheduled for March 1st but due to some complications with my blood work on my preop visit I had to postpone until the lab work comes back normal. I did receive the blue book you are refering to and I found Boost at Walmart but had to order the Boost Breeze from my local pharmacy. Again best of Luck and keep in touch. Julie

Hello Nancy.........Keep good holds on the blue bible it will help you a lot in the first 6ish or so months.......I almost had the thing memorized and still reffered to it......The drink she is referring to is the boost breeze....they supply it in the hospital but we have to have it at home for the first couple of weeks....it is spendy....but you won't be drinking much of it and a can will last all day! Our Hy-Vee's here carry it....just make sure you get the BREEZE not the Boost! It is okay....it has sugar and A LOT of calories.....but since we eat nothing for a long time you don't have to worry about it much!!!! Next time you come over here I would love to have you over......or we could meet somewhere! You date is coming so fast are you getting excited?? What about the weather yesterday....wasn't it awesome.....my whole family went down to the river and walked it was beautiful!!!! Keep and touch and I hope we get together soon Jesi
