Ok, I have them online & if you want, you can see them. Warning... some are pretty gross. You can fnd them at http://DBlasberg.photosite.com/ Please sign the guest book so I know who has viewed them. Feeling pretty good today. The pain is not bad at all. Yes, it hurts to get up off the couch but it's no worse than after the WLS. Tomorrow I get to shower. Good, I am starting to get itchy. Dixie

Dixie I found your pictures to be so educational and very interesting. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I didn't think it was gross but my husband happened to look up at the computer and said he didn't need to see that. Your skin on the scale. He said it looks like something from a crime scene. So I guess if I have it done he won't be taking pictures for me or looking at them. I went through kadavors as a nursing student so it takes alot to gross me out. again thanks so much this site is so educational due to people like you who go out of there way to help educate us. thanks Dixie !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Men! My husband saw the one you referred to but won't look at the others. Fortunately he didn't have to take them because if he did there would be no pictures. Dixie

Thank you so much for sharing the pictures, indeed it is very enlightening for us post-ops to see what the future holds for us. Most of us will need some plastic surgery, so it is very nice of you to share something so personal. Good luck on your recovering!!! Tamara

Dixie: Thank you so much for sharing your pictures!!!!! I am hoping to get a TT and thigh lift in the next year!! I've got quite an overhang!!! Not to get too personal, but did they pull your lower area tighter too? I have quite a problem there too!! Thanks for sharing!! PS who took all the pictures? DeeAnn R

Hi Deann, I tried to e-mail you twice directly & both times my e-mail program crashed! If you mean the mons area by "lower area" then yes, it did fix that also. It's very common for us to have a big amount of fat build up there & mine looked like there was a deflated tennis ball there. Not anymore! I now can look down & see that I'm a girl! My drains are there also so it's kind of tender right now. I don't know if all plastic surgeons fix it though. Dixie

I was so thrilled when he offered to take pictures. You see, I'm a very dedicated scrapbooker and had started one of this new "journey." I didn't do one of my WLS and now regret it. Haven't chosen a name for the baby. Got any suggestions? Mybe he'll be nameless. I still haven't actually seen my flat tummy yet. Today I get to remove the binder for the first time & shower. Then I'll see what I look like. They have warned me that I will be swollen for quite some time. It actually will take about 6 months before it is normal. Dixie

Thanks, Dixie - I think I shouldn't have looked at them over my lunch break! Wow - can I actually do that? I can't imagine this appendage that I call my stomach being removed and placed on a scale and no longer getting in the way of life!!! Someday - I hope it will be me. I have never heard of that lower area called the mons area. Just hope that when I do have this done - it gets rid of that as well. My cousin had a tt done years ago and she still has that skin - resulting in her looking like a man when she has her jeans on. I think that her surgeon didn't wait long enough before the tt because she lost 150 AND had the tt all before her one year anniversary. oops, I forgot to sign your guestbook - I'll try to go back and do that this weekend. Keep healing well - can't wait to see the next round of pics with your flat tummy!! God bless, Andrea

Sorry it was too graphic for lunch time. It is pretty nasty. You don't have to go back & sign the guest book. I was just curious to see who looked & I know you did. I finally took the binder off and even with the tape on it I can see how flat it is. I can't believe that it's gone! I too, found myself grasping my extra skin and trying to visualize what it woulld look like gone and guess what? It looks even better than I imagined. I don't think I ever had flat tummy, even as a teenager. The mons area ( yes, that's the technical term for "that" area) will look like a man if it isn't tightened up. Also the books I read warned that even with tightening it, during the next few months, it might swell up & temporarily and resemble that of a Ken doll, which is probably how your cousin's looks. I am trying to decide how I will share my after pictures. I don't plan to post them but probably will offer to e-mail the before & after to individuals. I'm not going to do it though until my bandages are off & stitches removed. Dixie
