Hair, Hair everywhere...
OK I told myself I was not going to stress about this because I know it pretty much happens to everyone but I just cannot stay quiet about it any longer. I am experiencing hair loss. I hate it. It is so much thinner than normal and looks straggly. How long will this last? Is there anything else that I can take to make it better. I get my protien in, take my vitamins faithfully. I am so bummed
Any advise?????
Also, can you use Splenda to make jam or jelly? It is getting about that time and every year I make huge batches of rhubarb/rasberry freezer jam and am looking for a way that I can enjoy this with the rest of my family without all the nasty sugar calories.
Thanks In Advance,
Sherri

Jam with rhubarb sounds awesome......I love rhubarb, but haven't had any either because of the sugars.......It was a bummer at all of the saturday markets and halloween fests not to be able to by the apple butters and rhubarb jams.....I miss that stuff.......Why don't you go ahead and try to cook it.....if it turns out....I will drive up there and buy some FOR SURE!!!!!! I think you should write splenda and ask them....they have a really good website I think! Now about the other subject.....I too lost hair, but I have super thick hair and it didn't really bother me much.....it didn't start for a few months and lasted until about 9 months out! Everytime I washed I would have handfuls of hair....it was sad, but I never really noticed it in my hair! Our dear friend Andrea has not been so lucky, she experienced a lot of hair loss. I don't think there is anything you can do about it, besides all the obvious stuff....getting protein, water, vitamins, and FAT in! Some people are just going to lose more than others and I don't think there is a real rhyme or reason to it
ALl you cvan do is wait it out and hope it stops....If it gets really bad there is a shampoo that is sold.....I think it is nioxxin or something like that and it really does help you grow hair.....THE CATCH IS it is very spendy and when you quit using the shampoo you lose the hair it helps you grow......My beutician said it is great for the little old ladies with real thin hair because they can use it the rest of their life.....But for younger gals it doesn't really make sence to spend that kind of money and need to use it forever.....talk to your beutican and see what they have to say!! Maybe to help you deal with it a new, easier , shorter hair style is in the future
Take Care and good luck

Hey Sherri! I don't know about the splenda thing...I would check their website at www.splenda.com to see about recipes.
For the hair thing, my best friend works at City Looks here in CR and she says that getting protein to your hair is very important. Just go to a salon or talk to your cosmotologist as there are shampoos and conditioners by Redken that can help. Also, Nioxin is very good but it depends on how much you want to spend. You could maybe check out their website too. www.nioxin.com.
I hope I helped!!!
Good luck!
hugs,
jen

Morning Sherri,
I would think you could use Splenda in jelly or jam's but would write or go to their website to check it out. Not sure about the hair part, I had a period of time where mine was falling out then quit. I was considering a wig! I think everyone is so different it's hard to tell what will or won't help but my daughter-in-law is a stylist & she recommended biotin. And zinc is suppose to help also. Will you please let us know on the Splenda thing? Thanks
Carolyn
