2/28 Goals and Roll call - who's out there?
Good morning,
Yep - I'm at school today, but don't want to be. I woke up with a headache and don't feel great. Just wish PMS would go away so I would start feeling better about things and gain some more control over food. I also think that I am fighting that dreaded upper respiratory stuff that everyone is getting. I think that there are about 10 teachers out ill today. I'm going to try to make it, but if the headache doesn't go away, I'll probably go home at noon.
Gee sorry - don't really mean to unload on you all this fine Monday morning. I did not do so well on goals the end of last week and all weekend - PMS, you know. I snacked my way all yesterday especially. It's so bad that I have in my freezer right now, s/f peanut butter cups, s/f hershey's bars, s/f bomb pops, no sugar added ice cream sandwiches and s/f candy bar ice cream treats. I also have some s/f cheesecakes that I made with a new recipe last night in the fridge. So, obviously, I need lots of goals this week - #1 being to keep control and NOT eat all of that food!!!
1) KEEP CONTROL OVER FOOD - 3 meals and 2 little snacks only.
2) Only eat at home at the kitchen table, not flitting all over the kitchen or in the living room in my favorite chair while watching TV.
3) Watch the amounts of food that I eat.
4) Log food intake at least 2 times this week.
5) Eat more fresh fruits and veggies and less low carb peanut butter.
6) Get rid of some of the junk, (not in my stomach, either) in the fridge and at school.
I think that's enough goals. Now, for the question of the week - how do you handle stress? What things do you do that help you to get through stressful times without eating? I need some ideas here!
Hope that you all have a great week!
God bless,
Andrea
P.S. Sherri S., Dixie and Lynda - sorry that I did not get a response out to you all last week. I will try better this week!
All those sugar free treats......sounds like gas to me......lol!!! We finished up our sugar free mint ice cream sandwiches so they won't be here this week for me to snack on. When I went grocery shopping on Sunday I went by myself and bought really good foods for me and my family....getting all the junk food completely gone, noone needs it really! I also have a headache this morning.....in the from of my hubby.....he took the morning off and I ran him to the doc.....he has my sinus infection now! MAN OH MAN......even being as sick as he was he REALLY REALLY liked all those panties and bras I bought......Just in case anyone is wondering Andrea and I spent Saturday shopping together and happened onto an awesome sale at Dillards....we got fitted in bras and bought some really cute sexy stuff.....tho I won't say what size, we were both depressed AND we were the exact same size bra......lol!!!!! Anyways my goals are basic.........Do good with food choices and limits
............................................Drink all my fluids
...........................................Take all my pills
............................................Exercise
Well I hope everyone has a GREAT week!! Take Care

Awwwwwwwwwww, Jes, You are never a horrible friend! Yep - still feeling bad about those bra sizes. Went back yesterday to return some of Anna's things that didn't fit and bought 2 more bras. I'm sure that Jason loves them, just like Mark does. I think that I'm not feeling well because I am battling one of those bugs with the runny nose and all and that I did WAY too much this weekend. (Although, Saturday was a blast!) I think that I'm staying home tomorrow, too. I did end up coming home today and climbed into bed with Mark. I slept from 11:30-2:00 and could go lay down some more. May even skip the gym tonight and rest up for cross training tomorrow night. That tells you how bad I feel.
Well, thanks again for being there for me. Wanna send some kids this way to get rid of all of my junk food? Yep - it causes real bad gas that gas x and beano don't seem to work real well on!
I'll call you soon.
Andrea
I need a butt kick to get motivated again. I'm only about 7 weeks out from my one year and really need to lose 15 lbs. I've been bouncing around the same weight for the last 2 months now. I know it's my fault as I've not been exercising and I'm eating waaayyy tooo much - the wrong stuff and not the proteins. Unfortunately there's not much of anything that bothers my pouch!!! On the good side, so far we've avoided the cold, flu, sinus crap that's going around.
My goals are to walk on the treadmill, ride the exercise bike and cut out the crap!
I like to listen to Nora Jones with my headphones on to help me chill at night. At work with stress, I do sometimes grab something to eat, am trying to stick with nuts.
Hope everyone has a good week -- stay healthy!!!

Janie,
I know how it goes with eating the wrong foods and too much. I thought it would be easier by this stage of the game, but I fight all of the time to keep control and eat what I am supposed to eat. It's always worse when I'm home - I need the structure and schedule of work, I guess. I know that you can do it - you'll do well on your goals this week. Aim high for the exercising - like 4-5 days and see if that helps. Let us know how you do!
God bless,
Andrea

Andrea,
Hey hope you are feeling better...dont worry about not responding to my thing last week.
1.My goal is to go threw all my clothes again. (my mom gave me like 15 pairs of jeans and alot of clothes) Ok they are nice clothes so she told me to get rid of my jogging pants and look nice all the time.
2. To finish paying off my exercise equipment and start working out.
3. Stay positive
What do I do when i am stressing. I cook, clean, and write my boyfriend Robert.
Lynda
Hi Lynda,
Yuck - I hate going through clothes. I'm probably going to give a bunch of mine to Salvation Army because no one that I know can wear them now. I'm sure that your mom is right - you need to quit wearing the jogging pants. I dress up often for work and it does boost the self-esteem to have something nice to wear.
Let's see, I can't cook or clean at school when stressed, but can at home. I actually love to cook, but then get more stressed over the mess and amount of time I spend cooking when I should be doing something else. Oh well. Good luck on your goals this week.
God bless,
Andrea
I haven't posted for a while. I started a new job in December, and have been pretty stressed learning it. January 20th, I had my 1 year anniversary. I have lost 134 pounds, but have been stuck for the last 2 1/2 months. I was on vacation in Florida last week, and walked 3 miles every morning. I am hoping that that will have gotten the scales moving again. We'll see tonight. Anyway, my goals for the week are:
1. Walk every day
2. Keep a good food log
3. Do better at getting my water in
Everyone have a great week.
