Hello

Hello, I have been doing a lot of thinking lately. I had my attorney phone conference the other day. (For those people that don't know my situation, I'm fighting the state of Iowa on getting my health benefits and SSI back they took it away saying I am no longer disabled, well, if you want to hire someone that takes a long time to learn the job, then that's me, but no one wants to take time to job coach me). Well anyway, it doesn't look too good. The attorney says that the gal that was helping me, never did appeal my case back in July of 2003. This gal said she did. The attorney said that it could take up to 18 months to go in front of a judge. So I'm not sure what to do, Do I go ahead with this appeal, (attorney said we can go ahead and appeal with a "good cause" - the gal lied to us), or start all new. I'm not sure. Mom and dad are probably going to make the decision for me, since I'm not sure what I'm doing. Well, I just wanted to give everybody an update. I'm trying to remember to take my vitamins. I have been laying them next to my purse. Gotta get some homework done, since I have support group tomorrow in Grinnell, and housecleaning to do the rest of the weekend. Have a good one. Hi Lisa, If it were me yes I would go ahead & appeal. Who knows it may move faster than you think. Have you ever applied for social security disability? That's better than SSI. Just a thought. Take care. Carolyn

I don't know much about any of the stuff you are going through so I don't have any advice.....I am a mommas girl tho, and I would say do what your parents and attorney think is best, they do have your best interests at heart!! I wish you luck with whatever you decided to do! You have got to update your pic soon, I would love to see how well you are doing Good luck cleaning your house, I will be doing the same!!!
