I can't hardly believe this, I have a big dilemna! And it's way OT.....I have been approved for a home loan BUT I have my mobile home to get rid of before I could move. I want a house so bad I can taste it. Mind you the mobile home is comfy it isn't that, but I have to much junk & believe me I have downsized like crazy over the years. I'm buying on contract from a local guy & I won't walk away from the obligation. I have asked if there was any way I could borrow the money to pay off the place & still buy a home & the answer was no. I would consider a double wide but to get financing would require around 20% down. The homeloan is 0% down. If anyone is interested would you please email me? Maybe I shouldn't be posting this, but I just want to get the word out. Can give more info in email than I can here. Thanks for letting me post. Everyone have a good weekend. Hugs Carolyn

Personally I wouldn't buy on contract cause there is to much of a risk of losing any $ you have paid, by being late on a payment, etc. I would wait and save up the money for the down payment.

Carolyn, I hear you we are in the same exact boat, but silly us we went ahead with purchasing a home. The four of us have outgrown our mobile as well. Actually we have one more step before the house is ours and then try to sell this, but it can be done at least I have seen our neighbors up the street bought a house and moved right before Christmas. Their mobile was sold within a WEEK! I wish you luck and you never know til ya try right?
