Attended Seminar in Cedar Falls

Hey all! I really need to get a picture up huh? Well anyway, I attended the seminar in Cedar Falls. I wish I would have gone in December instead to the U of I. The nurses were wonderful!! I explained my situation about insurance and how quickly this has to be done. They were so understanding!! My question is, what is the fastest that anyone has seen surgery take place? I have everything I need for insurance pre-approval. I did my sleep study and psych eval and everything has been sent to Sartori as of yesterday. My insurance will not cover my surgery if it's not done by the first part of May. I would really like it to be done in March. I also had some of the tests done in January that they do for pre-op testing. I had an EKG, stress test, CT Scan, complete bloodwork done and an MRI. Do you think that will make my surgery date come sooner? I'm so anxious to just get a date now. Let me know if anyone has gone through their program exceptionally fast. I already know that these nurses will work with me - they're just so nice!! Thanks all, Jen

Normally it takes quite awhile to go through their program but I know of one gal recently who had gotten all her testing done in another state & then they moved to Iowa. She was afraid she would have to start all over again. She went to Dr G and got a surgery date very fast because she had everything ready & had her surgery in no time at all, within just a few weeks. Make sure they know about the time problems. They will work with you. Dixie

Oh that definitely raises my hopes!!! Thank you so much!! My doctor sent everything to them yesterday and I sent my documentation. I've done everything except all of the pre-op testing and I've even done some of that!!! Hopefully, I'll know more by Monday! I'll keep you posted - thank you!!! Hugs, jen

Jen wasn't there a ton of people there!!! Where were you sitting? Did you fill out your packet yet? That packet was huge! I got it done and handed back in the next day. They were all very nice and Dr. G was funny! Keep me posted on your progress!! Shelli

Good Luck I hope you get to have the surgery by the time you need it!!! What ended up happening in U of I??? If you are all pre-approved I can't believe they couldn't get you in before then.....Bummer!!! Well I hear tons of good stuff about Cedar Falls, so I hope it works out for ya!! Keep us updated!!
