Starting to get scared & a little depressed

I'm starting to get scared & a little depressed I'm so scared that my insurance wont pay for my my surgery or they might make me wait a year or 2,Im scared I wont make it that long...I pray everynight when I got to bed... Janelle

I know how you fell.I'm also scared that I will be declined. I havn't even told my family yet because I don't want to here there reaction until I'm approved. Just hang in there and pray for Gods will. That is all we can do. Good luck.

I totally know what you mean. I just went to a meeting with the surgion and he gave us a 25 page questionare. I, two weeks ago, went to the Docs asked him to be my referal and I thought that was all I needed to do, but boy was I wrong. As I said I went to the meeting got my book of many technical stuff they wanted to know and brought back by a given day. I finished the papers, gave papers of reference to my family doc and psychiatrist and am wondering how long it will take to know if I am covered. The doc said it may be 7 months before he sets the date for opperation. I am scared on what will happen. My insurance coverage is good but who knows. If you hear any info on whats up please write me back. This is all new to me. Thank you, Steph

Big hugs Janelle, You will be fine hon. Think positive. They denied me first time around only because she mis-read my info. 2nd time it was submitted I was approved within days. Hugs Carolyn

Janelle This is the most stressful time the WAITING. Don't be upset if it takes 5-7 monthes to get a surgery date. This just takes time and the waiting is ------!!! Take a deep breath and don't let it get you down I know it's a lot easier said than done but try. The worring will run you in the ground Take Care Cindy

Waiting sucks!!! Unfortunately it is part of the deal.....a lot of times this journey is LONG and BUMPY......but in the end it is so worth it and you won't even remember the *****s at the insurance companies that ran you thru the ringer!!! I wish you luck for a smooth journey! The sacriest part for me was when the waiting was over and I finally got approved.....it was like I did all the work expecting the worst then bam I was apporved and scared poopless about what I had gotten myslef into......lol!!! But I am like 14 months out and down over 135lbs and wouldn't trade the experience for nothing!!! Take Care and keep us updated Jesi
