I went to Curves here in Carroll. I was not impressed at all. I found it way better to spend the money on a rec center (Y) membership. The so called resistance machines offered me little or no resistance, I felt like I didn't even DO anything. Of cours different centers can be different, you just have to go and see if it would work for you!

Curves isn't about just resistance. It's a combination of aerobic and strength training. The machines are hydralic. The harder you work, the more resistance you get. The workout is what you make it. I, personally, think it is a good workout. I know it gets my heartrate up and makes me sweat. That's a good workout by my definition. It's also great for those who have the attention span of a gnat. I get really bored really quickly with exercise. With Curves, you are doing something different every 30 seconds.
