I Was Canceled

I am so disappointed--My surgery that was scheduled for today was changed to Feb 18th. When I went for testing yesterday, they found an "irregularity" on my EKG. After reviewing it and having me take it again yesterday, I was scheduled with a cardiologist for a stress test first thing this morning. By the time that was done, and checked out perfect, they already had the operating room busy with another patient. So--I wait some more. However, I am thrilled that nothing was found wrong with my heart!! Keep me in your thoughts....

Morning Linda, I know you've probably heard this time & again but everything does happen for a reason. Can understand your disappointment, I was already to go with my surgery then bam wa**** with a mild heart attack that kept me from having surgery for 3 months after. I'm happy that your EKG turned out good this time Will keep you in my thoughts & prayers. Keep checking with dr for a cancellation maybe they can slide you in one of those slots. Carolyn

Linda, I also had an "irregular" EKG and had the stress test. The cardiologist told me it really wasn't bad, just different, and was okay and regular for me. I believe this happened for a reason. Please be patient (I know it's hard) because this is so worth it in the end. Only another week and possibly a better day!!! We'll keep you in our thoughts. Best of luck to you!!! Hi Linda The same thing happened to me last April. I drove 3 hours to Grinnell (from north Iowa), stayed over in a hotel room, got up the next morning to go to the hospital early for surgery, only to find out I had been cancelled due to abnormal EKG. All turned out fine and I had surgery 10 days later, but it is a huge disappointment. Hang in there.....your day will come! Kathy 233/176/150
