I would have guilt leaving family at home Plus for me it is well over 3 hours each way, and I wouldn't want to make that kind of trip myself! June 10th is my twins 6th birthday. I will not be able to attend! Maybe another time! Jesi

Hi Lyn sounds like fun. I am very interested I haven't had surgery yet I hope I have it in Feb since my surgery was scheduled for yesterday but my husbands company changed insurance company . i am hoping I will have it done before I meet you gals. If anyone received an e-mail about the convention in Minnesota let me know if you are going it would be nice to go I am undecided but would like to meet anyone that does go. Lavonda

I was just approved for surgery and should know in a day or two when I am having it and would love to go. A park on a nice day would be great or even the zoo. Keep me posted I would like to try and come.

Lyn, Sorry that I did not post sooner. I didn't respond before Christmas because I am one of those last minute planners - don't really do planning ahead too well. I know if I go, it will have to be with family. That would actually be considered a vacation for us - anywhere out of the Quad Cities is really a trip!! I also think that for those of us with younger children, it is harder to make plans to be away, (at least in my case). Also, I like Tracie's idea about getting our men together. I know that my hubby and Jesi's have gotten together and talked a time or two - don't know that they ever got beyond hunting and house renovation projects, but they seemed to enjoy each other's company! It would be nice for them to have someone to talk to about being the support person, if they so choose. I love the idea of the clothing item! Thanks for trying to plan this! God bless, Andrea

Andrea, One thing we are discussing on offering here in carroll is a support group for our families cuz they have to deal with the changes also and they have feelings and they are not alone either. so yes it is a good idea that our families get to come with us and they can talk to other people to know that they are not alone. lynda
