First consult

I have my First Consult with DR Monte Schwartz on Jan 27 2005 in Grinnell IA. Just wondering if anyone knows what I can expect? My pcp already did the referral, but I don't know what to expect one the first consult.

Dear Melissa: Dr Schwartz did my surgery. When I went for my consultation, he went through my medical history, discussed the surgery itself, the aftercare, and dietary changes. He told me I was a good candidate, and felt I qualified for the surgery. I told him I wanted to proceed. He went ahead and had the staff submit my info to the insurance company, and as soon as there was an approval, my surgery was scheduled. I saw him Feb.17, 2004 and had my surgery April 2,2004. He's an excellent surgeon, and a very nice person!! I'm -117 lbs since April 2 !!! Best of luck to you, keep us posted!!! DeeAnn R
