1/9 goals and roll call
Lynda,
So glad that you are enjoying school. I love the learning process! I'm sure that you will do well getting to classes all of the time - if the weather would hold out for you. We have ice here today, so no school again (YIPPEE)
Now, get in tha****er and don't forget to eat when you are studying your patootie off!!
God bless,
Andrea

Hello all:
My goals are pretty much the same, here goes:
1.) Limit the carbs!!!! (I'm struggling with this!!)
2.) Also limit the grazing/snacking. ( I need to really watch the little bites here and there, they sure add up!!)
3.) Continue to increase water consumption.
4.) Start keeping a food diary, to be more aware of what is going in my mouth!!
I have gotten myself into a pretty good routine with the exercise. I was doing alot of walking, but now it's cold, I use the elliptical trainer 5x a week, for 40 minutes. I also do 10-15 minutes of weight training on most of those days. two or three times a week, I do a combination yoga/pilates/strength training video, which is about 40 minutes. I go to a class to do it 2x a week, but am waiting for another session to start, so I'm using the tape. I find I actually miss the exercise, if i don't do it, who'd ever have thought!!!! LOL everyone have a good week!! DeeAnn R.
DeeAnn,
Bad carbs, bad grazing!! I know because I fight with them, too. Like I said earlier, I thought that it would be easier by this stage of the game! Maybe if we try to grab a drink instead of something to eat, we can increase fluids and nix the snacking! Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I like sugar free popsicles, just had one sitting here at the desk because I wanted something sweet. WE CAN DO IT, I KNOW WE CAN!!!!
Now, it certainly sounds like you exercise more than I do - and I thought that I did a lot!!! I bet that you are BUFF!!! I love the affects of the exercise, how about you? Keep up the good work this week and know that you have come a long ways and have done well. Pat yourself on the back!
God bless,
Andrea

Morning Andrea & all,
Girl you have had a time of it haven't you?! Will be turning on tv soon to see if we have late start, looks like we have some ice out there this morning. Considering this side of the state is under winter storm watch! Ahhhh welcome to Iowa!
Goals for the week?
Stay warm, stay warm stay warm
Drink more water, the decaff hot tea seems to be going down better than water these days.
Far as exercise? What's that?? Need to move south & take that bike with me! The nearest gym is 30 miles from me so that's not even an option. With the ice I won't walk outside anymore. So Richard Simmons & I have fun
Would rather be outside walking & riding the bike than being cooped up inside. Have a good week
Hugs
Carolyn

Carolyn,
Don't you just love the Richard tapes? I have the first Sweatin' To The Oldies tape and love it. I haven't done it in awhile, but it's fun to get it out and boogie my butt off with my little ones.
About the weather today, I was hoping for a late start so I could get some rest, because was up at 5:15 yesterday morning and didn't go to bed until about 11:30 last night. But..............no - the fog didn't roll in until right about the time I was on my way to work. Anyway, it should be a pretty easy day for me, so I am here, headache and all.
Now, stay warm in this lovely weather - supposed to really be chillin by the end of the week. Get your water in, too. Would it maybe help if you watered down your tea and then just kept some of the flavor of the tea in the water? Might be worth a try.
Have a great rest of your week,
God bless,
Andrea
