My approval went without a hitch- although it took longer than for the RNY- about 6 weeks. I WAS NOT impressed with the photo's the doctor took to send in with the request! However, they assured me, no one but the insurance company would see them. I allowed 2 weeks post op to go back to work- I think 3 would have been better. It's not really painful, but it feels like someone has put a very tight child's t-shirt on your women's large frame- TIGHT being the operative word. Good luck to you! Jeri H.
