Hi Tim and welcome to a very friendly place! The Iowa boards are so encouraging and supportive. If you ever have questions, just ask away and someone will be there to support you the best they can. Now, I'm one of those Quad-City folks also. I live in Long Grove, just a little south of DeWitt and north of Eldridge off of 61. I had surgery at Genesis a little over a year ago and attend the support group meetings there on the third Wednesday of the month. Isn't Delmar close to Preston? My sis lives in Preston with her fiance`. Well, welcome to the losing side of this journey. Hang in there with following the prescribed diet. It sounds like you are doing wonderfully so far. Hi Tim glad to see that you are doing well. My name is Leslea, I live in Cedar Rapids. I had my RNY 1/26/04 almost a year anniversary coming up hard to believe it's gone by so fast. I have had fairly good weight loss I am down 110, although I think some snuck back on over the holidays. I have heard about Dr. Glass**** one of the women in my support group here had him for a surgeon and she has done terrific with her weight loss. It seems that everyone is where you are and from what I see here they have a great support group there. If it wasn't so far I would drive to go to the meetings. We have a pretty good group here also.
