Thanks y'all!
For the wonderful words of encouragment! This morning I woke up in less pain than I have since I've been home. The pains meds are working now, TG! I get this darn drain out tomorrow, and I think that'll help like you all said. Plus I have noticed that the incision on the upper right is the most tender, who ever mentioned that was right!
I've been a little freaked since last night, my son had a febral seizure (spelling?) and we had to call 911 and go to the hospital. Luckily, he's home and feeling fine (at least from what I can tell, he's only 16 months!). So the pain I was feeling for Ty evaporated my surgery pain for awhile.
I'm also hoping Angie will put me on pureed foods tomorrow, although I doubt it since it'll only be a week since surgery. But I'm hoping I'll get clearance for a little something for Christmas dinner. I'm not hungry yet, but once I make some potatoes I bet I will be!
Anyway, thanks again everyone, I did appreciate all of you taking the time to answer me!
Hugs
Stephanie
I am so glad you are feeling better! You will feel much better with the drain out too!!! A lot of folks complain about left side pain, but I too had the most pain on the right side......I think it is where they had the biggest tool in moving around or something!!! I am glad to hear your little guy is okay, did he have a high temp?? A lot of little kids will have seizures when they get a high temp......Take Care of yourself and him! Jesi
Stephanie,
So glad to hear that you are feeling better. I'm sorry that I did not respond to your earlier post - I just read it now. Many of us had rocky starts after this surgery, but it sounds like you are on your way. Prayers going out your way for your son - those seizures can be soooooooooo scary!! Hang in there.
God bless,
Andrea
