I'm back- 16 pounds lighter!
Sorry to be so slow to post- seems like everything happens at once!
Had my TT last Tuesday. Have to say, for me at least, it was much easier than the RNY. Because the incision was so long, I had to stay in bed for 24 hours following surgery, so as not to pull at the incision. Dr. Coster also repaired a 9 inch hernia! I got home last Friday, and seem to be doing well. No problems eating, just a little sore and the staples will stick me every once in a while. I have to wear a "binder" (girdle) unless I'm in the shower. Since I'm fairly short waisted, it can be a real pain. I can sleep in my bed- and it was 2 weeks before I could with the RNY. Still have 2 drains, but hope they come out tommorrow.
Note to Janet- take along a robe, something festive. Only a little incisional draining, and the hospital gowns are functional, but not really very fashionable! Say hi the Delrae, Ron, Mary, and the rest of the great staff in Grinnell. Let me know how you do!

taking a robe.
still not sure how long I will be in, since it will be the weekend, maybe sunday or monday out.
hoping to get at least 15-20 lbs off of me during surgery, since they are going all the way around.
