Shoes!
anyone else have a desire to own every pair now made to man? I give up one obsession (food) for another...SHOES! A lady at work gave me the cutest damn shoes, she bought...they are satin, flats, hot pink with a rhinestone buckle! I LOVE them, but they are a 9, and I now wear a 10--DOWN from a 12--so I am holding out hope that they will fit me by spring!!
come on, all you shoe addicts....or sock, or coat, or purse...FESS up!!!
I LOVE SHOES!!! I cannot make my husband understand that shoes are very important. When he asks "WHY?" I tell him "BECAUSE THEY JUST ARE!". How can he not see this? He said jokingly once that I need a shoe closet. He was shocked when I actually jumped all over the idea asking when we could make that happen. I would love to have shoes lined up on shelves on all four walls around me, sheer heaven. I confess this shoe addiction gene has passed onto my daughter. She is nine and we LOVE to shoe shop together. Have you ever watched the scene in "13 going on 30" where Jennifer Garner walks into her closet the first time as an adult and expresses this huge sigh of contentment....then the camera slowly pans a huge wall of pairs of shoes. I thought to myself--I can so relate!!!!!

Reading that reminds me of my mom. She was a shoe freak. Have to share this story with you. One night she was bowling & dad & I pulled out EVERY pair of shoes she had. I kid you not she had 390 pair of shoes, sandals, thongs etc! We would laugh at her she would go to a rummage & "sneak" in a pair of shoes! If I was with her she would say "don't tell dad I'm getting these" as if he cared! Dad & I still talk about this &
about it. I have no doubt that mom has been having a great time in shoe heaven. We had talked about putting an inscription or engraving shoes on her head stone. And I put out a pair of shoes for her b'day etc knowing she would love it.
Merry Christmas to you & yours

I USED to have major shoe issues.......My dad hated it when I was growing up! But now-a-days with hubby, myself, and the three little ones, there are just way too many shoes!!!! I myself am down to only 4 pairs I think......One pair of Lands End slip on brown suede ones....A pair of Nikes....A pair of skethcers, almost boot like, brown.....and pair of dressy shoes!!! I went from a 9W, my feet were super wide to a 7.5-8 in regular sizes
I also think it had a lot to do with having to but them myself......now that we have a family and a home, I don't by myself much of anything! I wish I would have found something to take the place of my obsession with food, still obsessed with food tho! Take Care
