Eat more?

For the last 3 months my loss has been very slow & recently it has stopped altogether. It seemed to be the plateau from he_ _! At my 12 month appointment the PA suggested I keep a food diary. We were both convinced that I was eating too much. However, yesterday I finally figured up the calorie counts for the last 2 weeks & guess what? I was averaging about 800 calories a day! Not only that but my protein was also down. So, I am supposed to start eating more in hopes that I will start losing again. I am supposed to eat some protein right after my exercise sessions & and also add some fiber. That was really low also. So it looks like I'll be eating triscuits & cheese and more hood carb countdown milk. This better work! I am terrified that I will start gaining. Dixie

Morning Dixie, Congrats on your anniversary Doesn't seem like it's been a year already. My surgeon says 1200-1600 calories per day & when you think about the "before surgery" days it is enough to freak you out! For some reason it's true, the more you eat the faster you will lose. Especially the protein. It's still hard for me to grasp. Good luck & keep us posted. Carolyn

It worked for me! Never thought I'd hear a doctor tell me to EAT MORE!! Protein number 1, fat number 2, and the tiniest trace of carbs. Now that we are wired funny, seems to do the trick! Best of luck! Jeri H.
