Hi Debi, Nope never have. Our surgeon isn't big on protein supplements he feels you should be able to get your protein from what you eat. I have sent for free samples when they've had them but yuck!!! That was Nectar & Roadside Lemonade. If you haven't already checked it out go to fitday.com & you can track your protein, calories, carbs etc there. Think you will be surprised at how much protein you do consume. Carolyn

I've never tried it but have heard of something like this or maybe it was actually this product. Like Carolyn, my surgeon wants us to get protein from eating but also knows it won't happen right away. He lets us use produts like this or shakes. I say try it. The let us know what you think, especially the taste and smell. Usually they say it is tasteless but most people can taste it. If it is good, it might be something to keep around for those days when you just don't feel like eating meat. I would love to be a vegetarian as I really don't like meat much anymore so there are days I would love something to make sure I get enough protein. This product could work. Dixie

I have tasted it. It tastes like cough meds. But it's expensive. Michelle

I was thinking about it. I thought if more people wanted to try it we could order the case and split the cost how ever. Let me know if your interested.

I had such a difficult time finding a protein supplement that I could tolerate, but Pro-Stat was one that I was able to keep down. My surgeon recommended Pro-Stat 64, which only comes in two flavors: wild cherry and butter pecan. Don't even bother wasting $$ on butter pecan - it is truly disgusting. The wild cherry flavor tastes sort of like a Luden's cough drop. 2 tbsp gives you 15g of protein. I found that if I put 2 tbsp in some ho****er and add a little splenda, it makes a fairly palatable hot tea. 4 cups a day will give you your daily requirement of 60g. The only place I've found it for sale in Des Moines is at the Mercy West pharmacy. It is $35 a bottle. I did find it for sale online for $30 a bottle.
