SCALES...GRRRR

you go to the drs EXPECTING their scales to be calibrated correctly, right? Well, obviously not here in IA!~ I went to use their scale at my dr office. First off, the receptionist/nurse whatever she is was freakin rude to me...all I wanted to do was get on the scale..it does not take anything from her, this is for MY personal records...anyway, she directs me back to where the offices are, last time I used the one in the chiropractic part of the office...ANYWAY, I get on that scale, and the damn thing weighs me high. I ask her if it is accurate..."well, it's the one we always use"...um, HELLO? did you HEAR my question? So, I say, well, can I use the one in the other office? Why, she says, they will read the same?....grrrrrr....I say I would like to anyway...O K, she says. I go use it...........now get THIS......almost ELEVEN freaking pounds different! I said, well how do you know which one is right? Her answer? Well...we just use the other one. Oh! So all their patients may be thinking they are gaining weight or weigh more than they really do because no one has sense enough to calibrate the scales? Freaking UNBELIEVABLE!!! I am going with the one that weighed lower...who wouldn't...since I weighed on it about 10 days ago and it showed 333.25, now it shows 328 even. I am accepting that as a 5.25 pound loss....and it will continue to be the scale I use. But I mean COME on! this really burns my butt! (not to mention also that she was a pencil thin girl who probably never has to worry about what she does or does not weigh!) BTW, I have lost 169 pounds now since Feb, 198 pounds since last Nov! WOOHOO!!!!! Ciao! Tracie

Tracie, sorry i havent gotten back to you.. send me your new email i printed up something and would like your in put on it. for our support group meetings. I am also getting some samples sent to me by acouple different companies. i have to work thursday and friday. I might be home on saturday but this is the first weekend with out kids so doubt it. I will be home monday and tuesday so call me any morning. i sent my number in the christmas card i sent you.....lynda
