The doc's office said eariler in the week that I could have either December 21 or 22. They called this afternoon to tell me that my pre-op tests looked great, except some small gallstones. They're gonna take out my gallbladder during surgery. Anywho, the nurse said, "I have some great news, we can get you in on the 16th!" Can you believe my luck? This whole process has been so easy for me. I thank God for the ease I've had in getting this done. I started the process in late September and am having my surgery less than 3 months later. Am I the luckiest lady on Earth or what? Thanks for letting me ramble! Stephanie

WooHooo Stephanie!!! That means clear liquids from here on out ~~ This will absolutely be the best thing you can do for yourself. You should check out the support group at Sartori which is meeting Mon nite (12/6). It is a great bunch of people and they can really help with the nervousness leading up to surgery. The took my g/b during my surgery too. This is absolutely the best thing I've ever done for myself. I'm 7 mo out and about 20 lbs from Dr. G's goal. Be sure and let us all know if there's anything you need or if we can help... Congrats again!!! Janie 4/14/2004 272/167/140?

Thanks everyone! I appreciate all of your support, it means the world to me. And don't worry, I will be posting updates. Next to my marriage and kids, this is the biggest thing to happen to me. Thanks again! Stephanie

Caongratulations, Stephanie, I'm so happy for you. Try to make it to the support group meeting Monday night. The subject is the post-op diet so it would be very helpful for you. I know you said you live really close to the hospital. If you haven't been to the support group meetings yet, Just go in the main entrance & you will see the signs guiding you. It's in the cafeteria. We'll look for the hungry looking person. The posted time for the meeting is 7:00 but there is a half hour Q&A session that starts at 6:30 that sometimes is even more helpful. Dixie
