NOW what do I do??
I saw Dr. Anthone this morning, he is really nice and I liked him a lot. I DON'T like his options. I have ulcers (yes plural) just inside the intestine
from the pouch, and there is acid dripping in there. This has been going on since my bypass over a year ago. I have had major stomach problems for years, that is one of the reasons the doc recommended bypass, it would help. So -- the choice now is live with the ulcers or have a reversal. So I can be skinny with ulcers, or fat with ulcers. I'm not a doc but I don't understand why we can't get to the root of the problem and stop the ulcers. Before bypass I had doctors telling me they couldn't do anything for me because I was so fat and refused to lose weight (imagine that!!) The GI doc that I've been seeing told me to go to the Mayo Clinic. I don't know how I could even attempt that. Also I'm still having the major bowel problems, no one is willing to address that. Does anybody have any suggestions?? I am at a complete loss what to do next. But I really don't think I'll do the reversal, if I have to live with ulcers, I much rather do it skinny.
Hi Nut Picker...Like that!!! LOL Better than bugar picker which is what we call my three year old grandson LOL
This seems too simple so it probably has already been tried, but when my daughter was 12 she was diagnosed with ulcers, and she took the tagament, and other anacids, then they prescribed two different antibiotics that you take together, and she has had no more problems. My mother also did this treatment with great success.
Best of Luck to you...And I agree..I would much rather suffer skinny than fat lol
((HUGS)) to you
Debi
Hi Debi, I've had H pylori in the past and been treated for it. This GI doc
has done biopsies on every scope, they come up negative for the bacteria. So there is another good question, if I don't have H pylori, which "they" say causes ulcers, what is causing my ulcers to begin with??
I appreciate the input. I say my rheumy doc today, only the 3rd visit and he addressed the colitis. He is starting me back on prednisone and adding sulfasalazin. I know it sounds strange, but my stomach felt a little better when I was on prednisone, the rheumy says prednisone is more like a Cox 2, shouldn't cause stomach problems. I hope something works.
