HELP!! Blue Access or Alliance Select?

I just was informed that I am getting to choose my health insurance between Bc/bs Blue Access or Alliance select..I don't know which one to choose! If any one has any advice I would be soooooo greatful. -Miranda

Do they have a website??? Or an 800 number??? i would call each of them with list of questions about what they cover or don't......you could also go to the insurance section of this board and see if anyone has been approved with either!! Good Luck Jesi

I had Alliance Select, and it covered most of my surgery and related bills. I'm scheduled for a tummy tuck in 2 weeks- got approval for that in 2 weeks! Hope that helps! Jeri H.

Miranda, I work for Wellmark BC/BS of IA and I had to change my ins plan since the dr I want to do it wasnt a participating dr with the plan I currently have and I chose Alliance Select. You can call customer service the number is 1-800-847-1506. This is an indiviudual payee number (not sure if you will have this through a group or indiv pay)but I'm sure they can help you with any questions. You would want to look at the out of pocket maximum for each plan and your premiums you would have to pay if you are required to. The customer service folks could help you with any questions you may have and if you have a specific dr in mind you will want to make sure they are a participating dr for the plan you want to select. Alliance Select is fabulous. They approved my surgery the next day after receiving the request.
